FA Cup: Blackpool v Forest Official Matchday Thread 07.01.23

What a ** great goal that was! How do you drop CJ after today? What a pass too. This is a great confidence booster for us and we have Bowler and Rogers to come too plus anyone else who they get in.

The introduction of Lyons and the signings of Bowler and Rogers have given a real boost to the team. The likes of CJ and Poveda will know their starting pace is at risk so have really upped their game today.

Great team selection . . . subs on at the right time . . every credit to the manager 🧡

This is the turning point of the season . . . UTMP.

3 0 would suggest he's right
Yes once Beesley went off how much better do we look playing a proper striker and CJ as a proper winger. It’s not rocket science, compare it with Yates and Beesley on the wings. It’s quite black and white and why people are frustrated with Appleton.

We can't gripe at 3-0 up but it seemed Lavery and Beesley should have been in the others position.

Beesley should be nowhere near the first team. Lavery and Yates should be competing upfront and Madine used when we need to go two upfront or go more direct.

The last few games against top Championship sides has definitely sharpened team performance; we've been knocking on the door.

I hope this is the well overdue turn around

Carey has had a good game.
More time on the ball against a Prem outfit, where they let you play and come at them.
Maybe we'd be doing better if we were in the top flight 🤣
