Often the way innit. Fiorini is an interesting one. He's clearly got ability but what's the use when he plays so infrequently.Interesting list there. A load of players I’ve not heard of too. So they were good enough to make England squad but never enough to make it
That's the other classic Bully. "Politics" is often thrown out as the reason why they didn't make it. Reality is it's incredibly hard and the standard is incredibly high, even at 'our level'. It's one of the reasons I always get a little annoyed at supporters saying someone is 'Sunday League at best', when in reality, just being able to compete on the pitch puts them waaaaaaay above most. Then you can imagine how good the Foden's and Bellingham's, never mind the Messi's and Ronaldo's.Two superstars in Foden and Bellingham, a few playing lower league football and a number of lads that are now probably playing non league or even pub football and saying to their mates "You know what, I could have made it"
Yes you're right, quite a few of the lads that turned out for me in my many years in Sunday football had failed to make the grade for a variety of reasons, mostly because there was other kids better than them who progressed to the first team but also there was quite a few was because their attitude and dedication was not at the level it needs to be.That's the other classic Bully.
