England Euro 2024 Kit Unveiled

the key here is that if it isn't a red cross on a white background then it isn't a St Georges cross. It's that simple. There are no variations of it when it comes to colour. Any change of colour and then it is not a St Georges cross so therefore not the flag of England.
So why are you getting upset by it? The majotity of England kits haven't had the English flag on them either.

It looks a bit like it but it's literally different colours. Objectively, they are different colours. So if you are arguing it's close enough so that means it's definitely the same, then you also agree it's the St.Georges Cross, since it looks a bit like it, and you won't have a problem with people saying Blackpool play in orange, since that's a bit similar to tangerine.

No argument there, it objectively isnt and I can see why people would want the actual accurate St.George's flag, I probably think it should have it too. But as evident in this thread different variations of it have been commonplace on kits for decades now and never mustered this much manufactured outrage. I think a more rational response against it would be something like 'good/bad kit overall but I would prefer the accurate flag and it's well over priced". Basically reasonable calm disagreements over a design choice. Think "disgraceful" is a tad melodramatic and the fallout from this exceptionally funny.
Can't disagree with any that. The only "disgraceful" aspect of this is the price people are expected to pay for these shirts.

ah right, so you want to ignore my posts where i say if there isn't a flag on the shirt it's not a problem. and lets's face it that was what your point was!
I could do that and just go with the comments where you're complaining about flags on shirts but... oh fuck it... crack on! 😂

that's how things work though. Something gets noticed and then it starts to get commented on. Fact of the matter is that the flag of England is red and white. And that is what it should be. Every other countries fans would be outraged if their flag changed colour. How about putting orange stripes on the Irish tricolour? They just wouldn't do it and they shouldn't mess with our flag either.
Have they messed with "our flag" or is it not a flag? 🤔

I quite like it. Personally like the not quite St. George’s cross too.

What sort of snowflakes are getting upset over a design quirk on an item of clothing FFS.

There’s been more bastardised versions of the English and GB flags over the years. Even at Bloomfield Road there’s a whole host of bastardised flags at the back of the North but no one cries over them.

Wembley tonight - hundreds of flags, all desecrated with images, writing and additions that make them not quite right and it’s all ok.

One gammony bootlicker gets upset and the whole idiot entourage joins in with the ‘anti-woke’ crusade they don’t even truly understand. What’s more ridiculous is our politicians jump on the bandwagon too !

If only grown ups could grow up. These people aren’t getting all uppity at all the actual injustices going on around the world.

Don

Are you really at a loss to think that this is any way woke ?

I'm sure both Nike and the FA knew exactly what they were doing but it seems that it's cooler to pretend to be surprised why some might question the design.

I'm not sure that too many are considering this to be a life or death matter but I'm sure that plenty who are claiming it's not an issue know exactly why some might not be overjoyed at the design.
How is it woke?

It's the backbone of what this country was built on, nothing to do with telling people what to do. It should be bred into you from birth and people like you Phillip are part of the problem, pandering to all this bull💩. Did you not get chinned in the Rose & Crown for spouting your lefty crap?
What is "the problem"?

Disappointing result and performance, but the through ball for the goal looked offside to me. Brazil had the best chances though and probably deserved the win.
I thought Gordon did quite well and looked the most threatening of the front three, and Bowen had a couple of good runs. Konsa looks to be just a defensive full back and looked hesitant. Chilwell at least got in the right places and the best chances fell to him, unfortunately.
Some important players missing obviously, but we look a way off being a threat in the Euros.

So, apparently Nike were also behind Brazil not wearing their traditional and famous Yellow shirts at Wembley last night...

On the back of their ten year, multi-million pound shirt deal, the Yanks were apparently keen to promote the Brazilian's blue second kit.

We all know it but football really has sold its soul. How many families spent a fortune taking their kids to Wembley last night, to see Brazil in those famous shirts?

😩

What colour is the Union Flag?

Those most outraged probably vote Tory and UKIP...

clearly a spoof. Anyway why haven't you replied to my post on the City finance thread? Is it because you dug a massive hole by contradicting yourself. 😁

Not a spoof at all. Posters from various campaigns.

2012 Olympics kit designed by Stella McCartney took away the red. Don't recall any outrage.
