Ekpiteta Injury

Yep, unfortunately Critchley's words in the gazette are its a "CJ Hamilton and Gretarson type of injury". So he is sidelined for a while, what a bloody shame.

It’s a bloody shame but a very able deputy in Ballard. Need The Viking back alongside.

We may not see him again this season as it will be at least mid April before he is fit again.
Hopefully Ballard will avoid any injury and Gretterson back in training we have decent cover.
I am sure rival clubs will suffer too.

It is a shame but it is just one of those things. Husband has been doing a decent job and there are decent defenders in Ballard and Thorniley. His injury would have been more of a concern last season.

Luckily Critchley brought in a quality replacement for such eventualities. Hopefully Marv can be back for the run in

How unlucky to have some of our top performers taken out with long term injuries.
CJ, Gretarsson, and now Ekpiteta who was heading for a possible player of the season award.
With the Madine injury and those affected by covid the squad has been severely tested.
Ekpiteta will be a big miss but hopefully the others are getting close to a comeback.

Well done to the club and Critchley for recognising it was going to be a long old season. I remember back in Summer them talking about wanting a squad of players who could play multiple positions and that tactic has certainly paid off.
Some complained we had too many left backs... well yesterday we played with 3 ‘left backs’ at one point ! Our right back Turton has played at centre back and in central midfield and our other right back Gabriel has played on the wing a couple of times. KaiKai has played every position up top as has Jerry Yates.
With the squad size limited to 20 next season players like Husband and Turton need new contracts in my opinion and if we can agree a deal for Gabriel I’d be very happy.
Worth noting Gretarsson can play CB and LB and almost certainly in central midfield too given his ability on the ball.

Just like the planet 👍
It's been a bit chilly in Texas with unprecedented low temperatures at around -20 degrees celcius! The result has been chaos. Power outages, burst pipes everywhere, no heating or water. Given that Texas is a key player in the oil industry that is one of the biggest contributors to global warming, it appears that the world does move in mysterious ways 🤔
