Not entirely true, the single biggest factor is parachute payments, then TV rights, followed by sponsorships and merchandise. With actual ticket sales in the middle of that bunch. There is also another factor which we don't have and don't want us to, that's the spend what you don't have owners. Ultimately we have a bottom 3 budget, to survive we have to out-perform in our scouting, coaching and preparation, something we have failed miserably at over the last 18 months.

Crowds make up a much smaller contribution to budgets at Championship level than media rights (inc parachute payments) and owner handouts. Anyone who can find a way to get an extra £15-20mn per season into the club is invited to contact Mr S Sadler care of Bloomfield Road.

I know how you all must be feeling as I have been there many times myself &
It’s ** horrible but as fans we are helpless in what happens on the pitch.
The gap is widening financial between the championship & all the divisions.
Lots of the same teams are getting relegated & promotion year after year it’s getting harder to complete.
But it pisses me off how clubs like sheff u & wba can spend so Much money on transfers then struggling to pay there players wages .
Luton have spent loads on transfers this season & they say if not promoted no new ground.
Keep cheering your team & enjoying your football.
