Do we actually need new additions ?

For me it's a no , unless something is happening with Bowler in the background, Stewart and Beesley struggling to make the squad plus 2 wingers in Dale and Kirk who need game time, we are being linked with loads of players but I'm unsure if they are better than what we have other than the Brannagan interest! But Critch is good at proving us wrong UTP

I love the fact that Beesley hasn’t got on the pitch yet. Just shows how much we have progressed - can you imagine the anger from the Rapist if he’d paid money for a player only to see him bench warm?

Norburn & Brannigan would be a “levelling up” of our player talent in return for Thorniley and Robson.
With the inevitable injuries we will suffer it can only help.

If we add them to the squad and they sit warming the bench, then something is going right on the pitch.

A creative midfielder who can pick a pass and chip in with a couple of goals too.
Defensively we're ok, same up front.
It's the midfielder that's the missing piece of the jigsaw.
George Honeyman anyone?

Since the Spearing days it was always that attacking midfielder we needed Dewsbury hall probably the best up to now but Wintle done well and atm Dougall getting back to his best but yes that attacking midfielder that can open play and score would be a good option

We’ve gone from half the squad being shit and us getting relegated after the Hartlepool game to people asking if we don’t need any more players 🤣

Granted they might not be the same posters but its mad how people think.

We should always be trying to improve the squad in every transfer window & be the best we can. It might take time but that has to be the plan.

As I've said many times the minute we bring in that creative midfielder we will have to change formation as Critch likes to play with two holding mids.
At the start of the season we had Ward who is that type of player and we where getting overrun in the centre of the park(sometimes James a LB) and it was when Wintle came we started to improve.

It's a difficult one pay big bucks they start ,if we loan a PL player they expect them to start or why loan them in the first place so if we can get an improvement on Connolly who has been really good last two games so be it but I'd guess NC doesn't want to upset the applecart and it will be young hungry players who want to learn under our head coach.

Is it possible that both Norburn and Brannigan could be arriving tomorrow leaving the way for Stewart to be sold on in the summer? Critch is obviously pissed off with the way the Stewart call up to the Jamaican squad was made given he’s played 3 times with a long time on the injury list.

Yes but no need to pay inflated or panic buys.
Only players who would genuinely improve our squad. If the powers that be want to wait till summer, I am OK with that.

Thorniley has been a lucky player for us off the top of my head I think he has only been on the losing side 4-5 times, we certainly had an upturn of results last season when he stepped in
I thought Thorniley had another great game yesterday. I for one would be sad to see him leave he’s versatile, a good passer of the ball and a proper professional .

if we don't need new additions then that's going backwards. The team constantly needs to evolve and if Critch thinks we can get better players in than what we already have then that's what he must do.

It's complacent to think we don't need to improve. You've got to consider that from Tuesday onwards we'll be playing teams that will probably have improved from the ones we've played so far as they will all be bringing players in. We shouldn't look at how we're faring now and assume that other clubs will stand still and therefore we can afford to as well.
