Now going to be our knew Law Courts. With 12 Courts I think.
As a 5 year old (1940) I was in the hospital, with Chicken Pox (I think).
It was Christmas and my Dad came to see me but had to stay outside the ward and speak through a window.
He was in Army Uniform.
It as the last I saw of him until 1945.

It was billed as an Isolation Hospital.

Are they still a thing or just subsumed into the wider role of hospitals.

I spent about six weeks in there in 1962 due to being covered head to foot in Psoriasis. The treatment was daily baths with coal tar added, and coal tar ointment applied liberally by the nurses to my whole body apart from a small exception for which i was given some of the foul smelling ointment to apply myself. Spoilsports.

Now completely free of it' due in part to mind over matter, apart from an occasional spot that appears.

It's about time they knocked that court down...
It's the closest thing I've experienced to travelling back in time
When I go there it feels like the cast from The Walking Dead have been transported to a 1971 waiting room
Just think "Crown Court" (one for the oldies) crossed with bleak 1950's brutalist soviet architecture.....it's depressing from the outside to the inside

Thinking back, they must have had a dementia unit towards the end, as my Nan was in there before moving to a care home in Cleveleys
