Critchs first real mistake

Having got back yesterday ,had a sleep and been present at our worse gutless performances of the season I just thought I would throw my hat in on the discussion.
Firstly I met up with 2 new supporters of the club from London. I watching the Mighty for the first time on my suggestion. Do I think I converted them?
Come and watch the rebirth of the mighty Pool said I.
To see the average age of our new support from near geriatric to youth has been one of the best things I've seen in many many years. The Muckers are great ,and yesterday complete with blow ups etc , singing constantly till the 3rd goal its great to see and be a part of.
However I fear that our great new found support(the future of our club) could be injured by either Mr C s either ignorance of the damage that could be done or complete disdain!!!
I appreciate he probably doesn't read this forum but my message to him would be please play our strongest team possible in Every game !!
Rant over ,have a great Sunday!!!

Just bumped into a fellow seasider mate whilst walking the dog this morning, and we both agreed that the team selection was wrong and he should of played our strongest team. Critch may be thinking long term, but what really matters to the fans especially those travelling is that we play to the best of our ability with our strongest side, blooding the youth when the opportunity arises.

We still have the feel good factor energising our support. Maybe it's being taken for granted? Next season is a big one. I'm not sure our fan base will be happy if we continue to play boring football. It would be nice to see us attack with pace and purpose, like Peterborough did.

I had a terrible day yesterday. I was selling plants in a beautiful location, really busy, lovely weather when a family are looking at plants and one of the guys working for me asked this young lad, "Whose team is that football shirt?" "Preston North End" the lad exclaimed proudly.

His dad piped up' We won 4-1 today" Against Middlesboro?" I questioned, "Yes" he replied "Who do you support then?"" You won't believe it" I said; "Boro?" was his guess. "No. worse than that", "Burnley?" he answered, I actually laughed then and said, "No, worse than that", "Not Blackpool he grimaced?" I told him yes and he laughed. I asked him how Blackpool had got on (terrible mistake in the circumstances) "They got beat 5-0" he replied, I knew he wasn't joking as I had a sneaky feeling that might happen. Anyway we had a chat, nice fella and I'm going to look at his garden next week as he wants it re-doing.

I dont think this is Critchs first mistake at all and he has regularly made strange team selections...a few have worked out but many have not and playing your best 11 when you can would seem obvious. Some selections are baffling (think Ethan robson at PKE) and constantly rotating Yates and Lavery has arguably damaged them both in terms of confidence this season.

Overall the manager has done a fine job but he is not immune from criticism when he does make bad mistakes in team selection exacerbated by poor substitutions and tactics. The end of season (barring Birmingham) has been unacceptably poor and there is no way that the manager grasped the importance of finishing above PKE.

The football needs more tempo and flow to it next year and more attacking intent rather than backwards, sideways and meaningless possession. Also the loans need to be much much better next year as they have been shocking for a while now and the sprinkling of quality loans can make all the difference.

Scatter lots of tangerine and orange plants seeds.

Nowhere near as terrible as mine, having to actually watch us lose 5-0.

I didnt bother as I guessed it would be played akin to a friendly. I really feel for those who went and I think the manager has made a rod for his own back with such a poor end to the season.
