Critchley stick or twist ?

💯 stick for me. Would be insane and unfair to change now IMO.

Not sure what more you can expect from a coach in his first season with a new squad and a club in transition from a long period of utter neglect.
Plenty of games coming up to get some momentum going again, just need a few new faces in who can improve the first 11.

There doesn't appear to be any pressure on Critchley, but I'm sure this will change next season. If we're languishing in mid table come December then the axe may well fall. Sadler has spent plenty on players and as yet we're not playing attacking football or troubling the play off positions.

It's a stick from me. Too early to cast judgement given that this is a long term project. Note that he has already has done something no Blackpool manager has achieved in the last 45 years by beating a top flight club in the FA cup...

Can he deliver what we want ? He came here with a stellar CV at youth level but that is significantly lower than where we are at. The Pre season friendlies were promising and encouraging and Simon Sadler has backed him with a lot of money. Almost half a season gone and we're hardly tearing up any trees. Do you stick or twist ?
If we give this man time I reckon he will be a massive success as long as nobody steals him.

That's not the point, if in a year we're no better then it's a decision to be made, now is ludicrous.
That’s why it’s a clear stick. But the fact still remains that the ultimate arbiter of progress (league position) is showing no progress. We can all give ourselves comfort about the project but it is fact.

He will lead us to the promised land. Still a work in progress but we are a footballing side now. Consistent result will come. It may not be this season but it will bear fruit.

Stick, just needs to sort out the lack of goals problem, whether that be shop on sight, or bring in another striker. Also needs to rethink his subs strategy.
I never shop on sight as I end up buying stuff I don't need and it gets very expensive very quickly. 😳

No point changing now.

It's midtable or a late dash into the play offs.

His subs against Hull were good but on the whole, he's been extremely ineffective with changing things during games.

We’re still a work in progress & he needs more time, the decisions made in the final third need addressing then we will start scoring more goals even with the players we currently have. To find a striker who can create chances for himself is a tough ask, Harry Kane would be ok I guess 😂

In the end it's all down to SS.
If we haven't progressed much in at the end of this season will he (SS) just sit back and let it go?
I don't think so.
