Never really got going so a decent point away against a good team.
Robson looked cramped up from the start so not sure how it would have made much difference by then!He was cramped up for about 10 mins before he came off, had to go.
He could barely run. They strolled past him, he couldn't even get back to cover.Robson wasn't exactly stretchered off! Anyway, it's all about choices and we chose not to go for it.
I personally would prefer thornilry teamed with big marvThorniley looked good again when he came on, he must be one of the unluckiest players we've signed.
Amazed we didn't play 5 in midfield after the way they dominated us at home. Would have settled for a point before the game, so not too disappointed.
A good decision tonight I’d say. Cov weren’t exactly there for the taking…Robson wasn't exactly stretchered off! Anyway, it's all about choices and we chose not to go for it.
yep, you've convinced me. You're just a clueless wum.Robson looked cramped up from the start so not sure how it would have made much difference by then!
That's a bloody good point about battling performances, we don't give ourselves enough credit for it, we're a difficult team to beat.Negatives
Not doing a Coventry and leaving players upfront when opponents have a corner.
We have loads of pace so I do not understand it.
Dougall looks knackered he has held the midfield together for months, so not going to be critical of his play
Reece James not match fit and struggled
Keogh injury
Positives
In spite of AVFTT detractors Robson battled Well and to me still has a future here.
For 70 minutes Dale showed class touches
We are excellent at battling performances, we did not play well at times but stopped them taking control and as previously stated Coventry are a bloody good team.
Sterling again did well and I cannot see him breaking into Chelsea team so maybe a decent bid in summer.
Thorniley and Connolly may be squad players but they step up to the plate every time when asked.
Bowler is one of the best wingers in the Championship and scares opponents, can see players being red carded trying to stop him
Piont gained
Totally agree with everything you’ve said here !Negatives

I thought Robson was very tidy, nothing exciting , but a mature display , probably playing to instructions,2 very tired looking teams. I'm not seeing what James or Robson add but maybe it's a game time thing? Dale looked OK. Hoping Keogh, CJ and Gabriel return for the next game.
I had a look at his stats earlier and we’ve lost just four games out of 30 he’s played for usThorniley looked good again when he came on, he must be one of the unluckiest players we've signed.

yep, come the last 10-15 minutes so many of our players were struggling.2 very tired looking teams. I'm not seeing what James or Robson add but maybe it's a game time thing? Dale looked OK. Hoping Keogh, CJ and Gabriel return for the next game.
Yep, rubbish that Thorniley.I had a look at his stats earlier and we’ve lost just four games out of 30 he’s played for us
For me, Sterling looked nervous and Bowler took too much on. I'd have liked Yates to have come looking for the ball a bit more. Connelly shored things up when he came on. Keogh will be a miss.Nah….we are not that good
Nah….we are not that good
With close support the alleys wouldn't be so blind.Love Bowler to bits but he still has a hell of a lot to learn when the ball is at his feet…..can’t keep running down blind alleys
A point I've been making for months. Bowler so often has very few options when he has the ball. With close support the alleys wouldn't be so blind.
MUR might be ok for the weekend though? For me, Sterling looked nervous and Bowler took too much on. I'd have liked Yates to have come looking for the ball a bit more. Connelly shored things up when he came on. Keogh will be a miss.
If Bowler had close support it would release the recipient go somewhere else AND release Bowler to move into space.A point I've been making for months. Bowler so often has very few options when he has the ball.
Sorry Lytham - lots of beer. Please explain.MUR might be ok for the weekend though?
Can’t argue with any of that hertsI think that performance showed that Sterling at left back and Gabriel at right back is the option, at least until Husband or Garbutt are back.
Dougall and Robson were over run in midfield so I would start Dougall and Stewart on Saturday or Dougall and Connolly.
Dale did okay but CJ is a better option, so much quicker and looking really good since his return, that also takes pressure off Bowler,
Thorniley has been excellent since his return and deserves to be playing, with Keogh injured he could get a few more games now. I like him and he has a great left foot too.
Madine and Yates are a really good front 2 and having Lavery and Beesly chomping at the bit is a great thing for us.
We tried to hit him occasionally with early diagonals which didn’t come off...the front 2 never really went to him to take defenders away and with no forward thinking midfielders Josh has it all to do... that said Cov did a good job doubling up and forcing him outside ( which is still his weakness). Good hard fought point ... the missed header by Rose on half time was our bit of luckA point I've been making for months. Bowler so often has very few options when he has the ball.
Mad Uncle Richard!Sorry Lytham - lots of beer. Please explain.
I disagree about the second half. I don’t know how it looked on the TV but from ten minutes into the half we ran things, kept the ball really well.I agree to an extent but we did not dominate the 2nd half.
We were lacklustre going forward, it looked as if they'd run out of ideas.
Any team scouting Blackpool will realise send Bowler right and he's ineffective.
However IF the forwards had had any support they may have played better. Was Kenny knackered after marking Massengo out the game last Saturday?
Robson cramping up near the end
Defence as a whole was a 9/10 some dodgy moments but on the whole did their job well.
I often wonder how well we could have done with only half the injuries we've sustained this season
Hope he's OK.Mad Uncle Richard!

I agree. I thought we were the best team second half, although they sprang into life in the last few minutes.I disagree about the second half. I don’t know how it looked on the TV but from ten minutes into the half we ran things, kept the ball really well.
He did put one on a plate for CJ against Bristol. I suspect Lavery will play on Sat if this rotation continues.Yep Yates continues his goal drought since god knows when.I hope Lavery replaces him on Saturday.
It'll help Bowler no end if the rejuvenated CJ plays on Sat & Gabriel at RB. I still think Critchley tinkers too much.Doesn't help Bowler's options when Jerry is struggling like he is. Looks a shadow of last seson's player. Works hard still, so hopefully he will come again.
A,Keogh also looked rusty at the start which was why he wasn't rated as high as now, no one had got going really yet, cj was a shadow of himself when he came on and missed that chance he should have scored to make it 1 all.
We actually still came back into the game and could have levelled it and had a spell of dominance.
Its a different side in many way to then and some key personnel too.
Still a tough game.
We'll see how far we have come, we need to use the ball better than some games I feel.
I suspect our number 14 posts under GoalsMachineAfraid not.
The pathos is all yours. Like most I come on here to express an opinion ,some positive some not, such is the natural conflict in both our world and our football club unlike you who spends half your time pursuing sad and bitter personal vendettas with me and others too whilst exhibiting extreme intolerance of views that disagree with yours whilst showing total intransigence in your own know all opinions.Yates last scored against Huddersfield on Boxing Day. Lavery has scored just two since. Both are good players and Critch sees fit to rotate the two which is hard to disagree with. 50'spoolfan loved making an issue of it when Lavery was starting a few consecutive games ahead of Yates saying that was Critch's preferred choice. Said it before, he loves to build up one player in order to put asnother down and his his post is yet another example of that. Rather pathetic that a so called Blackpool fan needs to do that.
Agree but I think Critch does a great job rotating players and keeping the squad happy without weakening the team line up too much. It'll help Bowler no end if the rejuvenated CJ plays on Sat & Gabriel at RB. I still think Critchley tinkers too much.
You maybe right but they are two effective players who were certainly missed last night . As was Lavery too.Agree but I think Critch does a great job rotating players and keeping the squad happy without weakening the team line up too much.
Resting CJ the right thing to do considering he’s just back from a bad injury.
Madine was possibly my MoMGood thing about the Jake Beesley signing is that Gary Madine has started playing well
and scoring goals.
my mental health is fine thanks. There again I haven't got an ego like you. Amazing how you criticise me for personal abuse yet here you are doing just the same. And all my criticisms of you are always to do with sport and how you like to put people down. The pathos is all yours. Like most I come on here to express an opinion ,some positive some not, such is the natural conflict in both our world and our football club unlike you who spends half your time pursuing sad and bitter personal vendettas with me and others too whilst exhibiting extreme intolerance of views that disagree with yours whilst showing total intransigence in your own know all opinions.
As I`ve said before you`re a very sad case who would benefit from treatment for your serious mental health issues ,you certainly need it but are probably quite incapable of recognising it.
It`s utterly pointless debating with you as of course you always have an obsession with having to have the last word no matter what vacuous and often very personal unpleasant rubbish you may spout. So feel free but don`t forget the treatment, you do so desperately need it .
