He who allegedly failed a medical due to an eye problem when he was a youth has notched his 20th goal of the season, couldn’t make it up could you?🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
 
We've got a proven 20 plus goal a season striker (L1) who has managed to score 14 championship goals in a struggling relegation team. It would have been great to sign Bishop and it was bizarre how we failed to sign him whilst signing crocks in other positions. He would have been a great addition.

But for me, the failure to sign a match fit and experienced CDM hurt us far more. The middle of our pitch must need replacing due to the number of times away teams have driven a coach and horses through our so called midfield.

Edit, whether we keep him is sadly another matter

Can’t disagree with any of that Dave but as l said on another thread the entire spine of the team needed resolving.
 
Blimey, it was in 1978 that Ernie Bishop was shot in a wages robbery at M8ke Baldwin's factory. I remember it well 🤣
