What a class act this young fella is becoming. MOM performance is the game against Andorra last night. Playing in a deeper role and picking out passes for fun, he really can put the ball on a sixpence. Accept fully it was against one of the poorest sides in world football but i would imagine with this technique he can unsettle any side in the world. At the age of 21 he is already being referred as by some pundits such as Ian Wright as world class. Missed the Liverpool game but believe he was outstanding. Exciting the way he so easily ghosts past defenders to unlock defences. Surely Gareth Southgate has to build the England around this man. A maverick whom opposition managers such as Mancini cannot plan against because the en-expected is all what he is about. I really do believe we can win the world cup with Foden and other class players such as Grealish, Kane and Sancho. Happy days.
 
The youngsters coming through now for England are several cuts above what were coming through 20 years ago imo. It appears we've finally ditched the 'get rid of it' method of coaching, and employed one that encourages skill, technique and ball retention. I don't think England are quite there yet, but I can see some success coming our way in the next few years.

Don't forget Bellingham either, he's excellent too. Another that I think is a great player is Cole Palmer for Man City youth, who played against us in the friendly, and for the Eng u-21s the other night and scored a cracking goal. The England coach is going to have an embarrassment of riches in a few years time, and I think this could be the genuine golden generation, rather than the Beckham, Scholes and Gerrard side where I felt the ability never truly matched the hype.

It's far easier to pick a pass when you've got time and space on the ball. I'm not knocking the lad but it's a different prospect when you play top teams.
