As I posted previously I would have loved to give this guy a go as Blackpool FC manager whilst he is still available. People scoffed and said he wouldnt come but I still believe he would and he would be an amazing appointment. No doubt we will lack ambition and stick with Appleton until there is no real alternative on the market. I am sure I will get stick for posting this whilst we still have Apples in charge but I didnt want him at any point and have given him a chance given the difficult task he has had.

I wished he had been in charge at Middlesborough when we played them.
His results were far worse than Appleton's with a better team.
Lost the dressing room on last 2 appointments
Had one of the best CV's in football prior to the Boro gig and used to unearthing gems when in charge at Oxford and Northampton...in a different league to what we currently have but no doubt we wont even make an enquiry. He has a big point to prove now and would be a great addition for us.

I doubt they would appoint Wilder, his win ratio is far too good in his last job it was 40%. They will stick with Appleton at least for the
next 4 games, if he loses those and we are bottom at Christmas I can't see him remaining in the job, and with John Stephenson going
I wouldn't be surprised if Mansford would go as well..

I think you are right about 4 games but it will be very toxic if we lose to Birmingham at home….one of the arguments against getting rid of Appleton was that there is no credible alternative…I would take Wilder over Appleton every day of the week

The Owner is sticking with the the man they appointed a few months ago, the sooner he gets a full fit squad the better chance he will have, but then that applys to any manager !
I think we're now at the point that we have to support Appleton. Despite the last four results, I still think we'll be OK but what we don't need is negativity amongst fans and a bloody good transfer window. Also would help if we don't get stranded in that bottom three!

I agree and he will have my full support for the next 4 games ...think it will be toxic if we lose to Birmingham though and they have a point to prove after the spanking last season...if we are still in the bottom 3 at the end of those 4 games then I think time is up (If Im honest I already think that but I can understand the club giving him a chance to prove himself) I would love it if we turn it around and get 9 points out of the next 4...The big worry is our form at Xmas is usually awful and that would leave us cut adrift. I think this team is too good to go down BUT I also think they are too good to currently be second bottom and if the manager cannot address that then its time to go.

A lot of managers who have been touted have failures on their cv.
Do not think Jan we would change manager, if it happens in summer again which I doubt, I would rather go with an unproven but hungry young manager with pedigree as a player, someone like James Milner who is a born winner

I said it before, but I’d have sacked him the day after Middlesbrough defeat. He’s a liability right now. Wilder much better bet.
