... Giving away sides an advantage by giving them the entire East Stand?

It was fine last season when we were safe. It increased revenues and made for a good atmosphere.

But in a season where we're struggling, why give away sides such an advantage?
It got to the stage in the 2nd half where the referee was allowing them to referee the game ffs.

Maybe that's why the ref bottled 2 sending off decisions in the 1st half?

Rant over

Defending like the second half today has nothing to do with extra away fans.

We’ve been doomed for a while so why wouldn’t the club make the most of the extra £££ before we have teams bringing 200 fans on a Tuesday night.

Even if Cov only brought a small following we would have still lost. We did not score a single goal (Pen aside).

Yes just leave huge blocks of seats empty we’ve got a sheikh bankrolling us we don’t need to generate any income. Some of our less intelligent fans need to join the real world

Fcuk me there is some clutching at straws going on tonight.

Too many away fans. Whatever.
I've said in several threads today that we lost because we were 2nd best today.
I'm not suggesting for a minute that the number of away fans was the reason for the defeat, and my o/p didn't say that either.

I just think that, whilst we're struggling, we need all the home advantage we can get.
Relegation would /will be more costly than missing out on the income of a large away following

What utter bollocks we just beat Stoke and drew against the best team in the league by a long way in Burnley selling out the East.

Last season Barnsley, Blackburn and six past Birmingham we all beat when the they sold out.

It actually makes for a better atmosphere when the aways are next to the North as Stoke was one of the best all season.

We need to stop making excuses for when we get beat because it has fuck all to do with ticket sales when your crap and get beaten by better it what it is not that we've sold out to away a stand.

Give em the east, please don't stick em in hospitality. I don't give a fuck how much Sadler makes doing that.

Nonsense you can get into most grounds in the country in hospitality as an away fan including PL sides just no colours.
How it's Policed is down to the club and if it's a bad experience for the home fan that's on them.

Does it really make a difference if Coventry bring 2k or 3k plus ?

Best way to shut an away following up is to score first .

They’re a decent team , doubt it mattered much .

Large away followings make for a better all round atmosphere.

Won’t be a problem next season with the tiny clubs we’ll be facing in League 1.
We probably deserve to go down, but it will allow a new head coach to have a rebuild. Some of our players will be OK in L1 and if we do not panic we could quite easily bounce back and the feelgood factor would return.
Rotherham excel at it and Barnsley who were dire look likely to be there or thereabouts.

Coventry were better than us

The league table doesn’t lie

Nothing to do with how many away tickets they had

Club needs revenue to survive
