Picture of Blackpool with the headline two die, but one was in Scotland and one in Ireland, so why have a picture of Blackpool

I have some relatives in the south who have said it must be awful. They dont beleive me when I told them that that the worst damage I have seen is a Green Bin and a gharden chair blown over.
Blackpool gets a bad press in bad weather. It is of course one of the most iconic seaside images in the country so the BBC etc use Blackpool as the backdrop to reports.

When i was in New York in September it was widely reported on USA news channels that the UK was in the eye of a huge storm. A bloke in a bar actually asked me if i was worried about my family 'back home'......I showed him the BBC news website on my phone and there was zero mention of any storm or even bad weather......now im not a conspiracy theorist but weve been having weather all my life, some hot some cold some windy and some rainy........it happens and its no better or worse than it was 40 or 50 years ago....FFS.
