If you've been watching 67 years, then you've seen plenty worse. You're as stupid as ever.
Have you got 67 years in watching BFC?
Or realise we're not the biggest club around and that withdrawing support does nothing but accelerate that mediocrity.Maybe you will if you just accept mediocrity
Lytham we got the club we deserved in the 80’s with 1500 home crowds, remember those great days?Maybe you get the club you deserve then.
Of course we need the floating fans but season ticket holders threatening not to renew because they don't like the manager or formation is just bollocks.Lytham we got the club we deserved in the 80’s with 1500 home crowds, remember those great days?
The fact is that we need the non hardcore floating fans as does most clubs that aren’t elite!
Alienating them with crap managers and terrible football is madness and only one man can address that
It’s not needy look at me rubbish at all. We have a hardcore of 3-4000 and probably another 3-4000 who can quite easily walk away. The worry is when some of us hardcore seriously consider walking away from a guaranteed season ticket sale……. and I know for a fact I’m not alone because the football served up is so boring week after weekOf course we need the floating fans but season ticket holders threatening not to renew because they don't like the manager or formation is just bollocks.
We're 8th in the third division with more than an outside chance of the Playoffs, not applying for re-election like were in the 80s.

7 years less than me then, so fuck off.I've been watching Blackpool for 60 years, so that theory is bollox.
You won't walk away though, you'll buy one, you know you will, I know you will, we all know you will, because you support Blackpool FC, not whoever the manager is.It’s not needy look at me rubbish at all. Are you bragging that you've lived a bit longer?7 years less than me then, so fuck off.
On the contrary.
Buy season tickets for a two-flops coach?
Repent at leisure with just desserts.
Probably longer than you will. Are you bragging that you've lived a bit longer?
OK. Nice.7 years less than me then, so fuck off.
Maybe, better to die younger not being a cnut though eh?Probably longer than you will.
If they’d seen any of the football we’ve been playing they’d congratulate themselves on supporting another team.If I was looking in as a supporter of another club I'd think Critch has us in 8th place and took us to a 4th round replay of the fa cup, as well as the SF of the BSM. I'd think we are a basketcase of a club if he was sacked unless we went on a terrible run of results til the end of the season.
I have watched us play for over 50 years in all four divisions both home and away and do not subscribe to any divine right to promotion. What I personally feel is that the current administration are not utilising the resources they have to the full. They have alienated a loyal and faithful fanbase by not engaging with them and making successive decisions that have proven to be catastrophic. I want to be entertained and to enjoy the match day experience. On several occasions this season, both home and away, I have left at half time. I am not some automaton who just stands there in a daze zombie fashion week in week out. I will still be here long after this current owner, manager and players have left but reserve the right to say the current experience is dull as fuck and if it doesn't change will not renew my season ticket.Or realise we're not the biggest club around and that withdrawing support does nothing but accelerate that mediocrity.
So you won't be there. Your prerogative, but it doesn't make you a martyr.I have watched us play for over 50 years in all four divisions both home and away and do not subscribe to any divine right to promotion. Who says I want to be? Thanks for the adviceSo you won't be there. Your prerogative, but it doesn't make you a martyr.
People keep mentioning the resources with bugger all evidence to back it up, can you explain what you mean because I've seen nowt on paper?I have watched us play for over 50 years in all four divisions both home and away and do not subscribe to any divine right to promotion. Masochistic fans who cite worse past football to defend the coach and owner.Did people cancel in 96 when we threw it away with big budget and terrible football? Or the middling crap under Megson the year after, how about the calamity of Worthington? Watching a Hendry team was like throwing a football to eleven strangers with no interest in football.
It's been so much worse than this many times, before this year I've never once experienced us as a fan base thinking we have a divine right to be promoted, what's got in to us? Are we Sunderland or Wednesday now? We used to mock this kind of behaviour, it's spread insidiously over this past year, it's weird and it's not the club I know.
Maybe it's a hangover from the Oystons, I don't know, one thing I do know us we're currently miles away from being the best fans.
You write like a prototype AI program. You've garnered some facts from a Google search but you're struggling to get them down in anything approaching English.Masochistic fans who cite worse past football to defend the coach and owner.
These deranged loyalists recall:
Critch stays?
At last season ticket boycotts for a replacement with recent success.
One of them is currently in prison for fraud. Thank god we got Sadler. That isn't what I am talking about, yes there were other interested parties, I don't know how viable they were. I'm talking about now not then.
I wasn't talking about him buying the club, why are people trying to put words in my mouth, it's what he's doing now he's got it, he has done some really good stuff, he's been okay with other stuff and pants with the rest of it. We haven't got other owners, we have Sadler and we have to hope he can really get things going better than they are now.One of them is currently in prison for fraud. Thank god we got Sadler.
He’s going to get the summer I reckon too and then see how the season goes.I think Critchley will definitely get all this season, my concern is the summer and next season. The squad needs major surgery, something like 10 out and similar in. I'm not convinced that Critchley is the man to oversee this.
Just really disappointed that after all we went through with the boycott I had hoped for more.People keep mentioning the resources with bugger all evidence to back it up, can you explain what you mean because I've seen nowt on paper?
How often over those 50 years have you been entertained? I presume you weren't when Ellis first took over?
I'm not knocking your decision, well I am a bit, but only because it makes no sense at all to me, it's up to you really.
Not sure what his idea of good characters is. Obviously we want players that look after themselves off the pitch, work hard and basically act in a professional manner but will any of them have strong opinions, a spiky personality, be demanding of others? He’s going to get the summer I reckon too and then see how the season goes.
On renewing deals & signings, I’m concerned he’s got the balls to do it if he thought CJ deserved another 2.5 years? Coulson? Will he find a place for Apter and trust our youth policy…
You’ve just described Rob Apter. So could answer your question. Not sure what his idea of good characters is. Obviously we want players that look after themselves off the pitch, work hard and basically act in a professional manner but will any of them have strong opinions, a spiky personality, be demanding of others?
I have a feeling Critchley struggles with people like that but I think a successful team needs some of those characters in the squad.
Worrying, if he surrounds himself with yes men and players that are grateful to him for another contract then we will see more and more performances like last night and Cheltenham. You’ve just described Rob Apter. So could answer your question.
CJ won’t ever moan at NC.
RA will
There's a pernicious narrative that the football is boring all the time. It isn't.Compared to a lot of stuff I have watched over the years am I alone in thinking it's actually okay most of the time? We score plenty of goals and it's actually exciting at times. Some games are shit but that is football, it has always been like that. The quality of the players is better these days and the game is a lot faster.
We lack consistency that's all. Critchley is doing okay but there have been some poor performances at times. However he has at least til Xmas if not beyond. If you are a fan of the club you should get behind the team and manager. We still have a chance of making the playoffs FFS yet some are talking about boycotts and throwing the towel in. Support your team, that's what it is about. Some on here should support Man City, but they still would find something to moan about.
No it isn't in fact away from home it could be described as garbage whereas the home form has been good but not always lovely to watch. There just seems to be a lack of, what x3 described as "Oomph" about the place, the overriding atmosphere around the club is sterile and it lacks any personality at all, I likened it to the Stepford Wives. If we don't make the play offs this season, and I really don't think we will anywhere near them it has to be seen as a poor season, 14 more games to go (13?) we will know more by then. Critchley is safe until at least then and I think Sadler will keep him on for next season too and we will really see the patience of the supporters. If he backs his man he has to live with whatever the outcome is.There's a pernicious narrative that the football is boring all the time. It isn't.
I agree with all that. The biggest difference between 96 and now is that AVFTT was a fanzine ( I still have some issues squirrelled away), there was the Gazette and the matchday programme. Now those with the loudest voices ( and often the smallest brains) have here, twatter, facebook etc to shout on. All anonymously of course.Did people cancel in 96 when we threw it away with big budget and terrible football? Or the middling crap under Megson the year after, how about the calamity of Worthington? Watching a Hendry team was like throwing a football to eleven strangers with no interest in football.

No doubt you've 2 holes between your legs.Maybe, better to die younger not being a cnut though eh?
That's me being friendly.OK. Nice.
Well I'm much further away than you, so that's comforting. No doubt you've 2 holes between your legs.
You can expire whenever you like as far as I'm concerned.
That isn't in your hands as you should know. I look forward to your early disappearance.Well I'm much further away than you, so that's comforting.
So you're looking forward to my death? That isn't in your hands as you should know. I look forward to your early disappearance.
