Blackpool Football Club is delighted to announce the return of Josh Bowler on loan from Nottingham Forest.
The winger links back up with the Seasiders on a deal until the end of the season, having recently spent time out in Greece with Olympiacos.
A fans’ favourite at Bloomfield Road, Bowler’s first spell in tangerine was a scintillating one that saw him score 10 goals in 52 appearances.
Aiming to pick up where he left off, the 23-year-old is set to make his second debut for the Club away at Watford on Saturday 14 January, wearing the number 11 shirt that he previously vacated.
Josh Bowler said:
“It feels amazing to be back. I’ve only got good memories here and as soon as the opportunity arose, I wanted to come back. From the first day I left until yesterday, I got a message every day from a Blackpool fan or some of the players. You really do notice the love and it makes you feel so good. It made it a no-brainer to come back. Hopefully that translates on to the pitch because football is a confidence game and I’m a confidence player.
“I know the fans will get behind me, I know the fans will get behind the team, and I can’t wait to show them again what I can do.”
Michael Appleton added:
“We’re clearly very happy to have Josh with us again, and I’m sure our fans are delighted to see him back as well. He’s got incredible ability, he can carry the ball, get us up the pitch and, most importantly, he’s a match-winner.
“You’ve only got to look at the contribution he made at the start of this season to see the impact he can have. In tight games, he can win them with a piece of magic.”
