Blackpool v Peterborough Official Matchday Thread 28.10.23

How are players supposed to build confidence when they constantly get dropped back to the bench following great performances? Dembele was on fire Tues night, now dropped to the bench? The week before its was Dale dropped, having played a blinder, and the week before that is was Kouassi? Wouldn't surprise me to see Rhodes score a hattrick today and find himself on the subs bench next week..

I’m ok with the lineup.

A no nonsense defence, Hubby returns for the big game calm head at the back.

CJ to create for Rhodes and Kouassi. Lavery and Dembele to run at tired legs later.

2-1 win today. Come on the Pool!

Very much a squad game with Critchley and they all know they are going to get plenty of games, he picks the team depending on the opposition rather than picking a team for the opposition team to worry about, it has always been his way.

We will see, without Dale and Dembele we will probably lack creativity, think he wasnt happy with Dale at Oxford letting their full back slip in to score.

Play in the middle behind the strikers will cause problems, played on the left will struggle to get into the game. Flat three in the midfield tends to allow teams to get on the front foot. Playing a triangle with an advanced attacking mid we tend to get on the front foot.
Let's see what happens today

Early days but this looks like a very good promotion team versus mid table. Complete control for Posh

We look like we are the away team, its negative tactics as usual but when we go one down it makes it more difficult I wish Critchley was a bit more attack minded
