Will it be on with all this rain? If it is then credit to Simon Sadler for spending the money to relay the pitch and sort drainage out, and to the grounds man for making sure it’s playable

The groundsman’s tweet earlier would suggest that drainage is still an issue.

I do remember that unbelievably, we were told that the £1 million pounds being spent were a short term fix. So I guess at some point the whole pitch will be dug up again.
 
The pitch drains havn't been touched since they were completely replaced when the pitch was moved in 2002? after the new stands opened. They aren't that old actually then and its strange that the recently departed groundsman had them checked last year when we had the problem in the south west corner and said they were in good condition .

I totally agree but Husband and Turton are not my first picks to play in this system and you simply MUST have thee decent centre halves to make the defence solid enough for the wing backs to attack at will. I would play this quite often IF Marv, Ballard and the Iceman are fit...I think we would be in a play off place right now if we had been playing it (though I have no proof to back this up)
 
We haven't properly hammered anyone this season, all of our victories have been by small margins and I reckon it's time to change that tonight.

4-0 with two goals from Yates, one from Madine and a screamer from Virtue.

They wouldn't be my picks either but i was just picking from whats available in the day.

as for proof, none needed, its just an opinion and always welcome for a good debate. 😀
 
A few days ago, I would have been very confident. With the list of crocked, not as sure, particularly with what formation he has got the players to run.

2-0, with the heart, hoping that NC pulls a rabbit out of the hat and they can't match up.

If it is really heavy going, goal machine might come even more into his own
