The fact his first instinct was to look at the liner surely that should have rang a bell in the pillocks head! Genuinely I’d love to know how he thought the ball ended up in the back of the net!!
 
We deserve to be behind but that is terrible from the officials

Lavery is a good signing but surely 433 that morphs to 451 is the way to go against this lot. Our midfield is nowhere

Yes, if Jerry hadn't been greedy and squared for Lavery it was a tap in for a goal. Then Lavery with a beautiful nutmeg but just lost a little bit of composure to slot it home. I thought Cov put a huge effort in the first 30 minutes and then ran out of steam. Goal was an absolute joke and against the run of play. We need to up our intensity in H2. Keogh having an absolute mare...
 
A bit more composure and we’d have a goal to our name. Yates looks uptight (needed to get off to a good start after preseason) and Lavery needs to learn to look up.
 
Regardless of the hand ball..... we’re not very good and deserve to be behind. This is going to be a bloody long season if we carry on like this! We’re all over the shop
 
I thought this was supposed to be a professional sport? Officials of this standard should not be tolerated at this level. Don’t get me wrong we have been 2nd in every department in the first half but going in 0-1 to that is totally down to abject refereeing.

Anderson may as well not be on the pitch and our system is not coping with how Coventry are playing. Unless something changes it’s going to be a tough 2nd half.

Players didn't react like it was handball but it looked like it.
I think Critchley has got his lineup wrong again. We are nowhere good enough to impose our game on the opposition. We have to nullify their threat and hit them on the counter with pace.
On Saturday we obviously needed Ekpiteta to start with Husband at left back.
Today we obviously had to put extra bodies in midfield and go with a 3 5 2 but we go with a 4 4 2 and get massively outnumbered in the middle.
Anderson had a shocker that half!!
 
Without the ball we are nothing, midfield so poor - wtf is Anserson contribuing? 'Course it was hand ball, but they deserved the lead. Adam & Vaughan where are u now?
 
Keogh looks like a lad in his 40s from the pub team.

Peterborough 2-0 up against Cardiff. Boro have recruited well.
 
One noticeable difference from League one is sides reluctance to put the entire team back for a corner or set piece. Coventry leaving two men up and putting us under pressure if we lose possession and also we have to decide who to leave back to mark their players .. very effective.
 
Looking a little better this half but Keogh is useless against anyone running at him with the ball. He can clear out crosses but that's it. I guess the good news is that Viking is close to healthy and we ought to have a RB in soon enough which will allow Connelly to play CB. I get the feeling that by January Keogh will be a distant memory, like Lubala or Sarkic last season.
