Sunderland last 30 games 56 points
Blackpool last 30 games 59 points.
Can we keep our 13 game unbeaten run going and turn it into a 22 game unbeaten run.
After today’s great all round performance,I’d say it’s possible.

Yet you read the Sunderland forums and they say they are by far the best team in this league!
Can still see it being a Pool v Sunderland Play Off final .. predicted that a few weeks ago.

I think when you keep going back over the league table over the last 20 games, 25 games, 30 games I think we're top of the league on most of them (if not all), with Sunderland behind us on them in 2nd.

Makes the start even more frustrating, but I think the bad start forced us to assess our issues and resolve them. Now we're stronger for it going into the end of the season.

As for Sunderland, they're easily one of the best sides in this division with some players who definitely shouldn't be playing in this league. It will definitely be our biggest test this season having them twice in 10 days - as for their arrogance on message boards, I hope that arrogance exists within the squad as well.

Who knows... we might even end up playing Sunderland 4 times in about as many weeks. What a crazy season. UTMP!

If we are going to be in the play offs I would prefer Sunderland to have gone up automatically with Dull shitty as think we can turn over anybody else, mackems are a tough ask

How do you know?
We haven't even played them yet.
Plus they and Portsmouth have an awful playoff record so neither worry me majorly

I thought they were top over the last 30 games and since. (Haven’t checked)
Anyway, it’s where we finish that matters and at the end of a shortened, really odd season, we seem to be getting stronger when it matters the most - and quite a few others are showing signs of tiredness

The mackems are not so great. Take out Aiden McGeady and they wouldn't even be in the play-off positions.

The record of the teams is very similar over the last 30 games, so other than acknowledging that they're going to be 2 close games (which we already knew), it doesn't mean much in my view. But I'm looking forward to the 2 matches, just as I am for all our remaining fixtures. Back in October, I didn't think I'd be posting that sentence in April.

I will admit I'm a bit concerned about not being able to play Embleton though, but we do play better against the top sides so not too worried , should be 2 good games.

Base form on the last 13 games,we are unbeaten on 29 points.
Sunderland have lost once and are on 30 points.
Both teams are on better improving form and the two games coming up will be season defining for both clubs.
