Best advice you have ever been given

For me it went something like-" if you cannot do anything about it then let it go. Never be a prisoner to things you cannot change." Saw this advice repeated today to others and was reminded how much it had in the past helped and comforted me.
 
Always press the button when you pull the handbrake.

When in doubt, buy the Japanese one.

Don't smoke anything that doesn't smell right.

My Dad told me, after I made a bit of a costly mistake at work, “Don’t worry about it, nobody will care in 100 years time”

These days I don’t think anyone gives a toss after a day or so to be honest, and any mistakes I make just cost me!
 
Young and broke is much better than old, wealthy and ill
Unfortunately I now resemble the latter part!
