BALLBOY UPDATE

A change of personnel yesterday and it was a younger set of ballboys on show. It was still a pretty poor showing which lacked urgency and alertness. I thought their starting formation was all wrong and they left big gaps all around the pitch. One or two of them seemed to lack pace and there were a couple of wayward returns. Overall it was a marginal improvement following on from a dismal effort by the development squad.

I think there is still time in the ballboy transfer window to bring in some new recruits and I really dont understand why the club dont contact teams in the youth leagues to bring ALL their kids in and have them every ten metres or so. They all get to see the game and serve a useful purpose. Each team probably has 100 boys and girls signed up and it will promote Blackpool FC at the younger age levels.

Agree, an improved performance but setup all wrong and some didn't have the fight in them.

Still, better than the west stand itself. One time there was a bloke who go the ball and was passing it around his mates or the crowd around him, 1st half.

There's always a fumble and failure to return the ball from the west.

One lanky steward in the west got a right mouthful from a bloke in front of me in the north, he walked after the ball 2nd half and the ball was going away from him faster then he was moving. It was funny to hear.

What riles me is when the ball rolls an inch from the linesman and he refuses to roll the ball to the goalkeeper who has to jog 50 yards for the ball and back again

Now that I definitely agree with….doesn’t have to be sent back at 100 mph….just a gentle kick will do😉

What we need is enthusiasm. The current batch are too busy strolling around with their hands in their pockets, and the way they kick the ball back, it beggars belief they are footballers.

Literally too cool for school.
