BALL BOYS

Absolutely shocking performance from them last night playing on their phones and never looking to return the ball quickly...if they are development squad players they need to be taught to show more of an interest and keep the momentum of the team going...some clubs have 3 times the number of ball boys we have and get the ball back to our team straight away to give momentum. It may sound pedantic but these little things can make a big difference in a tight game.

Email the clubs senior advanced ballboy specialist with your concerns.

They don't move from their seat or seem interested.

Have noticed this all season except for around Christmas when they were replaced by younger kids...maybe the regulars were on Christmas hols

We were losing 2-1 in the 89th minute and some plank in the South thought it a good idea to pass the ball to a small child so they could get a touch of the match ball. I got onto the phone to social services. That child should have been in bed hours before and certainly not subjected to the sight of that game.

Should have just reported via the app.

Use the grass App next time 😉

Not just at Blackpool guys.
One time it was a privilege to be a ball boy/girl but obviously not now.
It seems they are a law unto themselves and if a ball is too far from them then cobblers to running for it just leave it for the player to get.
Saw one last night pick the ball up and just drop it at his feet when the player was about 5 yards away.
They are pretty much the same at every ground.

In these Woke days we now find ourselves, can we still use the term ‘ball boys’?

Surely ball handlers, ball wranglers, ball jugglers or ball dodgers are more acceptable terms?

Perhaps we could give them an award to incentivise them to actually coral the ball when it goes out…

This maybe relevant if we were ever interested in seeing throw ins as a tactical part of play. For years now I have never seen any players remotely interested in receiving a ball from a throw. Very often 2 option only and we just stare at the taker… it’s very odd.

The only semi-tactic is Connolly buying about 7 miles by waltzing up the line, but we never take advantage of that either.

I think the ref knew about Connolly's wanderings before because he had a word with him before he took his first throw. I thought he was going to book him just in case.

When I kicked a ball wide I had to 'fag it' myself.

So by the same token the young people should be renamed as Ball Fags, I am sure even in today's PC environment no-one would find that generic term offensive.

Quick throw in?
Jesus every single Blackpool throw in takes at least 30 seconds and that's nothing to do with the Ball people it's because our players play dead lions and offer no targets for our throw in specialist Connolly.
Oh for a Rory Delap then they could all just queue up on the edge of the box..
