Firstly well done to Peterborough, deserved the win and we deserved nothing.
Yes they play nice passing football but we've just played them and knew what they do, was that set up effective? No. What we did was absolutely atrocious. When we did get the ball is was panicky wasteful shite.
Aimless long balls, utterly useless for the most part.
Critchley has proven he doesn't have a clue how to set up a side to play that sort of football. He's tried before and we've had no cutting edge. Or we pass it and go nowhere and then miss most chances to advance once we've earned the space, too slow, too hesitant, too negative etc.
We seem to have abandoned that again though in favour of mostly long hopeful punts, it's just not good enough.
What a shame we couldn't get to Wembley as the chances were far better at winning something, but I guess people will say ahh well it's only the EFL trophy, but still a big chance missed.
Ref was a joke as per usual, seemed to want to give them everything.
I went to near the tunnel after the game to clap some players who have done well in the competition overall, also give the ref a bit.
There was one or two shouting angrily at NC and his assistants...
A poor evening in all and what a joke that this game was on sky and we turned up like that.
