Caught clearly on camera showing their dumbfuck phones with pictures of Bradley Lowery. The liitle bloke who died of blood cancer back in 2017. he raised millons for cancer research . these pair of lowlifes deserve ten years on a texan chaingang as far as i am concerned. this was at Wednesdays total collapse on Fri versus Sunderland. t/////sers.

They are saying its a photoshop

Strange one this as the pics published by the papers clearly show a photoshop picture (you'd never be able to take a pic from distance of a picture on someone else's phone with such clarity)( but I can't help feeling there is no smoke without fire and maybe somebody has photoshopped it on to show what they were showing. However, you'd also need bloody good eyesight as an away fan to see what they were showing. Also, seems strange the police have named them (and their Dad's name and address has been splashed across the net) if they didn't have anything to go on.
Either way, the only good thing to come out of this is all the extra money which has gone to Bradley's foundation.

Both lost their jobs aswell apparently and banned for life from attending games.
I’m sure there are experts that can tell the probability of a photoshop.

Well if it is a put up job. NO doubt plod will have enough forensic skill to find out truth. Every time i watch one of those behind the scenes investigation cop shows the amount of technology is incredible. Enough for the CPS to bring charges.

So what can they charge them for? Pretty sure it's not illegal to hold up a picture of someone on your phone. I know it's morally wrong what they've done but is it illegal? Have they actually broke the law?

Public order offence, like the lad that had the 97 shirt on a Wembley that got arrested. You can't display images or writing that could provoke or insult people.

Bradly Lowerys family have come our and said the police have told them that it isn't photoshopped and that the pics are legit. So good luck to them on that one.

Ah well, on to the next of their excuses...

2. The phone was hacked
3. It was just meant to be between the two of us, but the phone slipped in my hand to face the Sunderland fans
4. I didn't do anything, the phone's being doing weird things ever since it fell into the sea from a North Sea ferry

Didn't one our own find himself in hot water for holding up a newspaper with a doctored headline?

Think it's this

Outraging public decency

The separate offence of outraging public decency is when someone does something lewd, obscene or disgusting in the presence of at least two members of the public.

I wonder of you'd feel the price now their paying was disproportionate & excessive if god forbid the person they were mocking was a young member of your family that had tragically passed away?

It’s all a bit too much for me…. I can understand that people feel disgusted etc… but I don’t think arrest, lifetime bans and job losses is remotely proportionate.
I take it from that response, that you are not a parent of a child. perhaps you are a child yourself and incapable of empathy as were the two idiots that could not separate football shithousery from common decency. Shame really because I have agreed with a lot you have posted in the past.

So iam still OK flashing my knob in public along as only one 1 person sees ir? I guess doing it in Tesco is out of the question now, I'll have to stick to quiet streets.

I think it’s a nice life lesson to be honest.

Not sure about the arrest, but I much prefer a bit of public shaming. Everyone thinking what a low life ** you are 👌🏼

As an employer, you wouldn’t want him working for you if that’s the level of his moral compass, so it’s no shock that any business would pot him, as everyone will know who he is now and how warped he is.

All because he thought he was funny, joking about something as low as can be.

Unlucky 👏🏻

For a better society, people need to take responsibility for their actions. Therefore, quite happy to see them pay the price including losing their jobs.

I fully appreciate what you are all saying and. I think what these lads allegedly did (in that moment) was disgusting. It also sounds like one of them may have gloated about it in Social Media, which adds another dimension.

I just think that we have to be cautious when reacting to a situation like this in the heat of the moment and when emotions are running high. I’m not convinced we make our best and most rational choices in those moments and we often just end up with a Lynch Mob mentality.

It also concerns me whether the law is reaching too far in this situation and what the consequences of that might be.

Also, whilst firing them might well be justified. I’d have thought that due process still ought to be followed and it feels rash not to have done so.

Ones been charged now with a public order offence. I will never understand what was going through his head thinking that it was A, a good idea and B, funny. They're both learning a very harsh lesson right now.
I feel for their family though, their mum and sister have both had to delete their social media's and so has the pregnant girlfriend of one of them. They didn't do it, but are getting harassed.

You are quite right in suggesting that due process be followed, if only to protect the companies concerned from the potential of an unfair dismissal claim.

WHAT a pair of w.......s . This is about as low as it gets. if my son had done anything like that i would be mortified. but as he is late thirties. imagine it was Blackpool fans . jeeeez. we would be run out of League one.

I think you're right to suggest it's not black and white and that their employer would have to think hard. Some jobs would lend themselves easier to dismiss them, for example a sales asst. at Curry's or in a job that requires his identification, whist a night store packer for B&Q less so unless fellow employees refused to work with them. Even in a high profile job, the employer may have an obligation to find them non hp work. However if charged and found guilty it would make it much easier.

Either way he had time to think what he was doing, possibly already had the pic saved??? so he deserves all the stick.

The employer should follow a proper disciplinary procedure, simple as that.

What concerns me more here is where we are / might be going with these new legal powers and whether simply ‘being offensive’ or too near the knuckle is going to be criminalised.

You’ll recall the outrage on here when a popular poster made a quip about ‘Maddy’ and comedy (Frankie Boyle as a recent example) can often get pretty dark.

Obviously Social Media tends to bring these things into view and we are seeing an awful lot of pretty disturbing / disgusting stuff posted and aimed at grieving families, famous people, those who might not fit in with social norms etc.. So arguably something has to be done to try and deal with the issue… It’s just concerning where it ends up and whether the powers are abused or there is over-reach.

I think you’re right they / he deserves stick (although their families don’t deserve the abuse).

Maybe additional punishment is justified too, but I think we need to tread with caution.

I agree BFC. I think what he/they did is low and he deserves to know about it, get fined, banned from games etc. It could be a slippery slope though where causing offence could lead to you losing your livelihood, getting jailed etc, and who is deciding the parameters of what is so offensive to be punished in that way. . The cynical part of me thinks those in power love this, it keeps everyone quiet and toeing the party line, just the same as restricting legal protest.

Time to bring back the stocks, a bit of public humiliation etc

He is blaming drugs

Well that would have probably lost him his job then.

I’ve not commented on this yet.
I think it’s an awful thing to do and a very stupid way to ruin your own life. Silly silly man.

Just a pointless episode where there are no winners at all, and lots of losers.

I'm surprised that these 2 bastards aren't
A. Blaming the Government.
B. Claiming they weren't properly potty trained.
C. A long lost 3rd cousin removed has recently died from an infected ingrowing toenail which has affected their Mental Health.

That’s the thing. They must have trawled the internet to find a picture with the intention of doing this. Thought went into their actions. What on earth could ever make someone think that holding up a picture of a dead little 6 year old boy was a clever and fun thing to do to wind some football supporters up and not ever appear to have given it a second thought. It’s completely mind boggling.
Everything about this story, Sunderland, the players, the supporters and little Bradley and his family was incredibly positive so why did these idiots think it was worth using in such a vile way. How upset must his family be.

It goes to show what two stupid people can do to the reputation of the club. Innocent Massive supporters will now get a load of stick off morons from other clubs.

It will be interesting to see if the football authorities stick their ten peneth in.

Pleaded guilty to public order offence (I think I have that right), so I assume 40 hours community service and a life ban from all football….so at least he can go and watch prescum

I think he might get a few weeks imprisonment .

He’s caused considerable upset to the little boys family whether intended or not .

This lad is in trouble here I think .

I’m all in favour of a good ol’ fashioned lynch mob for all the knife-wielding, tree-cutting, hedgehog-kicking, phone-harassing idiots out there. 😁

Whilst I agree with you, his defence would argue that the social media upset wasn’t the direct result of the idiots behaviour and so he shouldn’t be held responsible. They may also argue that it was never the intention for the family to see him laughing and he didn’t invite the photo.

Hes an idiot for saying he was on cocaine though.
