Armfield FC

Ooo.. I'm really scared.
What you should do is watch what you type on here.
You think you can mock people you don't know without repercussions.
That is cowardice.
Now get your cock out of your hand.
Nonsense most games our behaviour is good every now and then in big/tight games tensions get high and sometimes emotions get the better of people especially on a Sunday morning.
No 10 always give us a tough game and are an in your face team credit to them, they bitched and moaned as much as any team.

Also one of our players actually won an lfa medal in ragings old team so shows what you really know, we have the best team on the fylde with most of our players playing at a decent level on saturdays. In our first 3 seasons formed we’ve reached an lfa semi final and quarter final and won 2 league trophies and are well on course for winning a third.

Next time like I say introduce yourself even tho I’m pretty sure who you already are, and maybe we can have a conversation instead of you coming on here and making out we’re a bunch of bullies when we’re not.
Say what you like, you don't represent Jimmy Armfields name with any credibility. I watched for around 35 minutes and it was enough to form an opinion.
One of your substituted players kicked out at an opponent.
You had people on the pitch who were not even playing in the game.
There's banter and there's abuse, a line was crossed....for about the whole 35 mins I watched.
I fully understand conflict happens in games, it's part of it but lines of decency were crossed literally every few minutes.

I don't care what you have won, well done but that's not the point of this post. It's about the standards of behaviour of who you are and what you represent when 'using' the name of a gentleman and legend of Blackpool and England as your teams name.
You can say what you want about other teams.

They don't carry the name Armfield. You do and you clearly don't understand that you are not representing the man in a way which comes even close to his morals.

You won’t get a coward like him saying hello mate, it’s easier to post crap from his bedroom at his mum’s house
Why is he a coward ,just because he does not want confrontation with a bunch of lads he thinks are behaving badly. I have faced confrontation for most of my life , I am now in my sixties with a heart condition and am on blood thinners . So I don't think he has done anything wrong in voicing an opinion on a message board rather then risk confrontation.
Also I don't know what he witnessed, but it would not do any harm if maybe bad tackles and swearing were a little less ,just incase there are kids about . Or do we condone this kind of behavior because its Sunday football.

Most posts on here accept that Sunday league football can be quite rough ,the language may be bad and in extreme cases lead to violence. This is part and parcel of Sunday league football and I accept this , but I don't see any harm in someone putting on this message board that some of the Armfield players were behaving poorly and he has come to highlight this.
This is what message boards are for and if you agree or disagree with what has been written ,then you have the chance to argue the issue. What I don't like is reply's that have hidden intimidation in them or refer to the original poster as a coward.
It's been suggested that the original poster should go up to the team of players and tell them how disgusted he is in their behaviour. Well I am pretty sure that apart from being told to f@ck off ,he may get worse. So where does he air his views .Yes ,on here .He has not made any insults on a single person only that he was disappointed at the behavior of a team. Then he gets referred to as a coward because he did not confront 11 youths or young men .
If he had confronted a full team of footballers in their behaviour ,he would have been abused , possibly spat on or assaulted . Now if that would have occurred , who would be the cowards then . The man who spoke his mind or the gang of 11 that would probably give him a hard time.
In respect to the Armfield footballers I don't believe that your behaviour is probably that bad and it maybe that the original post was written by someone who is less in touch with Sunday football ,but he should never be referred to as a coward for not confronting you.

Probably spat at and assaulted ?? What have you based this assumption on ?
His own team on Sunday gave us and the ref abuse which they enjoyed while they were winning then when the game turned and we were winning they all of a sudden don’t like it.

It’s a simple case of him coming on pretending he’s a random person when in-fact he’s affiliated to the team we beat.

It’s actually pathetic.

If you can't say something nice, it's best not to say anything

Not going to deny. I've let myself down a few times on that one

looking at the fixture list, believe the two teams play each other this weekend too so i'm not sure the o/p is very helpful.

As I pointed out ,no disrespect is meant to Armfield F.C. . I also pointed out that whoever wrote the original post was possibly not use to Sunday football . The message I am trying to give is that people should be allowed to post something like this without being accused of being a coward . This day and age people get abused ,threatened and assaulted for speaking out . My son witnessed a murder because someone was trying to do the right thing.

Playing each other in 3 weeks in the cup I was told last night by one of the AC managers…… think I might pop down and watch 😀

Not sure which list you're looking at but mine says The Albion v Armfield then the title decider Highfield v Armfield on Stanley Park the following week. The next game on Easter Sunday is Armfield v Number 10 in the cup at Unity College (Warbreck to us old school), maybe Ginge and Northstand can have an arm wrestle that morning? 🤔

Thought you said in your O/P that you were just walking past. Now you’re saying you watched for 35 minutes…… been caught out a bit with the lies haven’t you Ginge2 😂😂

The underlying point seems to be that there is acceptance of bad language etc because its Sunday League.

I can't imagine why there's a shortage of grassroots referees😉

Have you read what has been said? I'll spell it out for you. it is said that the o/p'er is the father of one of the players in the opposition team! So to come on and say he was simply walking past is being economical with the truth! And if he wants to cover that up then are you sure that everything else he is saying is accurate? I would hazard a pretty sound guess that anyone who goes to watch their son play sunday morning football is "used to it".

got it from this, yep, my mistake. Confusing Albion and no 10.

Ginge's original OP was a bit suspect and snide but I don't think he's a coward for not falling for Mosser's 'come and meet me surrounded by my mates' bollocks.

OK , but people do lie on this website as you have accused me of . Also I know nothing about this situation myself . What I am saying is that if someone is shocked by the way a large group is behaving then he would be stupid to go and confront them . Yet a message board is a safer way of airing his views without putting themselves in harms way .
I have been assaulted ,threatened and abused through the nature of my past job ,but I would not confront a bunch of young men who are behaving badly , its like asking for trouble.

I once played for the Vic Pub in St Anne’s. Queen Victoria would have been disgusted at some of the behaviour of our players … 😞
I went to visit my estranged Dad in the Vic when I was about 13. What a place. Some old tart tried to take me back to her place, a fight broke out at lunchtime and my uncle Harry got punched by the lady behind the bar and was out cold.

Played a friendly (if you could call it that) there one summer evening in my youth. Was very intimidating from the side line with all the prisoners watching including the one and only Afroman 😂😂
Yes pal we were surrounded it was mobbed on all 4 sides of the pitch, we played the screws at mechanics in the semis and it made the front page of the gazette, red cards all round and it kicked off non stop, was a satisfying one to win that.
