Are you an Optimist or a Pessimist?

Agree. The bit In italics wasn’t my quote but a reply to a poster.
A realistic accepts the situation they are in for what it is.

You’re a true definition of a realist in as much as you accept the difficulties that exist for all
Still hopeful though mate and don't allow results to ruin my weekend anymore. Just can't be arsed, I'm 50 this year and rarely get down about anything.

Was hugely optimistic on Tuesday night but then as the weekend approaches and the realities of Critch's formations, team selections and 1-0 mantras are on the horizon, I feel nothing but pessimism! Oh for the days of Ollie when you would go in to every game full of hope, optimism and excitement!

I'm still hoping all the teams above us will get a big points deduction and we'll go up as champions.

Looking back to when I posted this thread after two successive 1-0 away defeats against Wigan and Derby and before the home draw against Wycombe...

Before the Wigan game, I'd checked the date of the League One Play-Off Final (Saturday 18th May) and booked my next well-deserved😜holiday flying out from Manchester on Monday 20th May and returning the day before the start of next season.

I didn't want to take the risk of missing another Tangerine trip to Wembley, especially going with my 'kids' and grandkids, one of the latter aged 7 being gutted when we missed out in the BM trophy semis.

Let's take it one game at a time, I said to my eldest grandson who's 19, and see how we go...

I'm feeling happier now, after our last three victories and the results on Tuesday, that I delayed the start of my holiday.

Did I make the right decision, only time will tell - at least we're still innit to winnit!

Come on Stevenage, unplug the Oxford jukebox and do us all a favour...🙏

🧡
