Anyone really arsed to hear from Critch?

I would like an explanation, be interesting to see if any goal posts were moved on his plans that possibly unnerved him, strange that he has been waiting for clearance to speak to us. If it is simply that it was an opportunity he couldn’t turn down then good luck to him. He has left us in a far better position then when he arrived.
 
Piss poor he didn’t say anything in a statement a day or two after. The times passed now for anything like that.

He’ll make himself look like more of a eunuch now if he comes out with some kind of mealy-mouthed explanation.

Fuck him he’s gone.
 
I’m less emotional about it. I’m not bothered about a statement- I’ve moved on.
I’d applaud him if he returned to BR for where we are now, that day in May and beating the Nobbers.

Beyond that, he’s an ex girlfriend that was fun at the time but in the past

He was and still is as far as aware awaiting permission from BFC to make such a statement. Nothing to do with him not caring.
 
If it was done by a ballsy interviewer who’d hold him to account on some of the bullshit he’s come out with before leaving it might be interesting but it’ll be some arse licking sycophant!
 
I don't care. I expect a generic statement if it happens anyway. Ive got nothing against him or his decision either. Its his life and he obviously had his reasons.
 
Nothing surprises me anymore. It is bad form but point in dwelling on it any longer. We need to move on now. What goes around comes around and he has lost all my respect as a person. Did what he has paid to do no argument about that.
 
My biggest disappointment with Critchley is that he didn't make a statement right away. If he loved the club and the fans as much as he claimed he would have wanted to put his side across straight away.

Then to read Matt Scrafton saying that he's too busy on holiday to spend 2 minutes on a statement just proves that the guy was full of shit.

Really now intrested in anything he has to say now. Onwards and Upwards for us.

Matt Scrafton said last week that he had spoken to him and that he was waiting to get back off holiday before making a statement. He is due back this week.

Today Matt has said that he doesn't know where the statement will come from but it won't be through us.

Seems like he's been given permission to make the statement but wanted to finish his holiday off first.

He hadn’t been given permission prior to going away. He may of thought the holiday story may of bought time for everyone to agree a press release

He was away when he got the call from Rooney. So he can speak to Rooney, tell us he wants to leave, negotiate a contract all whilst away, but he can't manage to get a press statement together?

I don't buy that. Looks more like he wanted to enjoy his holiday and deal with this when he got back however that's not a good look to me.

I'm not somone that hates the guy, I thank him for all he's done for us, but the way he's left leaves alot to be desired and just dont see the point in him making a statement now. It's too late.

Edit: I obviously mean Garrard and not Rooney. 🤦

In the good old monochrome days of the cowboy films when the goodies wore white hats and the baddies wore black hats the Indians used to say that the paleface spoke with forked tongue. If Mr. C were to make some sort of an apologetic statement, in the dim and distant future, I wonder what the Indians might say!

Left it too long now, burnt all bridges for me. The length of time without a word is now laughable rather than a disgrace

I think he'd be better off just leaving it completely now, let's both just forget about each other now.
 
If I’m brutally honest, having listened to his interviews, I don’t think he’s particularly bright. We’re investing him with qualities that perhaps he just doesn’t possess, i.e. emotional intelligence and the ability to see things from our perspective…
 
Bright or not he’s got a deal at Villa that is eye-watering from the point of incremental increase so you really can’t blame him

He was an employee who has decided his future is elsewhere.

Make a statement now after he left us weeks ago and say what sorry but my holiday was more important than spending a few minutes telling you at the time why I left after recently signing a new contract🤬 way too late, has lost all respect and credibility. Hope Villa get relegated

Used to love watching those films with my grandad, Lee van cleef etc nowadays they may ask if you want lime pickle with your poppadoms I doubt they’d care much about mr c,nor do I, if he ever comes back to Bloomfield Rd I hope he doesn’t get booed,just ignored will do just fine for me

It seemed that he did see things from our perspective & bought into the club’s ambitions & taking us forward with the total support of the owner ,boardroom & fans , all a con trick so apart from a big wage rise in the end he may regret it, he’ll have a good pot of cash from LFC anyway & could have made a good name as a number one & moved on to manage a bigger club,now he’ll be a background nonentity with a bigger house
 
Two weeks gone and not a squeak from the rat and yet people like Scrafton continue to make excuses for the guy.
The more this new manager malarky goes on, the more I get annoyed by the way he just ditched us.

That ship has sailed for many now I think - no one really cares or would believe what he would say anyway. Also Villa will carefully control all of his media output now and as their employee I would imagine they would not want him making statements about his previous employment etc
