Another day in the life with Covid.

It's not often I start threads but I thought this deserved a thread of it's own.

Covids been with us for about six months now so I thought I'd look back on it's impact from life thru AVFTT.

Well it hit us with a bang and the Government put us into lockdown with a message of "Stay inside and stay safe". I know a lot of people didn't think the message was clear on a few things but most of us saw the common sense in that message and followed those guidelines/instructions. We all told our tales on here of how it was impacting us. Some weren't leaving the house at all, we weren't meeting up with friends or families outside our own household. lt was difficult but we were doing what needed to be done.

Football was cancelled so there was not as much to talk about with regards to BFC and the wider game in general and somewhere along the way a second forum was created for people to air their views on politics and this dreaded disease. And some posters who contributed very little or nothing to the football board found their voice and relished the opportunity to have their say on here with great gusto causing many discussions and arguments.

And then there was the Cummings debacle where he clearly broke the Govt guidelines/ instructions and we all rightly condemned him for failing to follow his own basic rules. I supported the view he should have resigned or been sacked but regrettably he's still around. I've moved on from caring about it but some of you obviously haven't but yeah I understand your frustration. We'd all been doing what was asked of us yet here he was flouting his own guidelines. Disgusting was a word I think I used.

The Black Lives Matter came along and this is now having a major impact across various countries of the world.

Hopefully then we thought we getting on top of the virus and the and the number of daily deaths were falling and the Govt started to relax their guidelines. But I think it fair to say most of us still tread with caution about our own movements. Going into shops brought in the rule that we all had to wear masks and and i daresay we are all complying with this as it's in the guidelines and rules and hopefully helps us all stay safe. Going into shops wearing a mask was a bit of a nightmare for me personally as for some-one who only generally pops into shops for a minute or two my glasses steaming up made it difficult to see where I was going and sorting out paying etc. I daresay some of you who wear glasses have had similar problems. We were also aghast when we saw pictures of Bournemouth promenade on a hot summers day and their scant respect for social distancing. Who knows what impact this had on the areas where all these people had come from just to get a few hours in the sunshine? Another blatant disregard of the guidelines and instructions.

And now football has returned. Even though fans aren't yet allowed to return I for one am delighted. We can talk about football again and also our love for BFC. Still though, there seems to be a good number of posters who seem to have forgotten about this and don't seem to want to know the football side of the message board. Ah well, that's a shame but each to our own.

So how do I sum up? Well it's been a tough six months or so but I like to think we've all done what's been asked of us. We've stuck to the rules and instructions and used our common sense and we'll all come thru this when we are rid of this dreaded disease.

And one more other observation. There's a theme running thru this post about us as people and doing what has been asked of us. Complying to rules and guidelines.
So how come one particular poster doesn't know how he'd have re-acted if he'd had a gun pointed at him with a police officer shouting out instructions? Baffles me that considering all the other basic rules and guidelines he's followed.

My life is up in a heap

Since this pandemic

Went 2 months with seen my kids during hard lockdown broke my heart

Lost my job

Football cancelled and to top it off Liverpool winning the league

Not sure when I will be safely allowed to fly over and watch Blackpool play when I used to at least once a month

My uncle who helped raised me having very fast aggressive form of dementia out of nowhere

Seems there's no imidiate life at the end of the tunnel in regards flying over 😭

Hopefully, things will get better. By the sound of it, it couldn't get much worse.

Coronavirus and American police both have the one thing in common. Comply or die.

Good post 20’s - you should start more.

It’s been a spectacularly strange year for most of us and the reverberations are still ongoing for many.
Good and bad.

It also brought us the daily challenges from ’Incredible_edibles’ ( most notably the music ones ) , which I found to be very therapeutic delving into my back catalogue of musical history.
Many of my good times were revisited when remembering the songs.

For that , you get a BIG thumbs up from me matey 👍

Very much on a par with your ‘ songs to relax to‘ thread, Lala 😁
