The realism is when we have good players we are going to need to sell. Gabriel is a case in point. This is a very good signing if he comes good.? Blown your own head off!

Signs in Jan but on loan until the end of season with Rovers
The statement says reached not signed. An agreement has been signed. No more to be said…
I agree but at 25, he's still young and he needs to play every week. He must be frustrated at being a bench warmer & it'll be interesting to see if Oxford come back for him.Why would Thornily go. He’s a damned good central defender…
Would rather we were signing him now but he’s obviously got talent so looks like a typical signing we’d make. Cheap ish and room for potential. Wonder what the fee is/was?
From the SRFC website:
The undisclosed fee is significant with the potential for additional performance-based benefits accruing subject to Shamrock Rovers F.C. over the term
Where does it say that?
Remember that the LoI season runs March to November, so why would they want to loan him back for half a season, and he's out of contract in November, so if we don't get him in January, then we're literally paying for the last 3 months of his contract.
Sorry, I don't think you're right.
Their season ends in November.Andy Lyons Transfer Agreement - Shamrock Rovers - Wing-back will depart in January

I hope not.MA's got his man at last!
Does this mean Jordan Thorniley is on his way out?
Why would Jordan Thornilly leave?MA's got his man at last!

Oxford can fcuk right off,I really hope BFC have suspended any transfer activity with them at least until Robinson gets the sack.I agree but at 25, he's still young and he needs to play every week. He must be frustrated at being a bench warmer & it'll be interesting to see if Oxford come back for him.
Some players have to move on to balance the books & the squad numbers. Why would Jordan Thornilly leave?
He's a class centre half.
I wouldn't want him leaving.
Hope notMA's got his man at last!

No his hair isn’t long enough to plait. Can he plat in goal, because a few on here think Grimshaw is crap.
No way we are letting Thorniley go. Quality player and we need him. Plus he is a centre backI agree but at 25, he's still young and he needs to play every week. He must be frustrated at being a bench warmer & it'll be interesting to see if Oxford come back for him.

We've already got three left backs!I don't think we'll be after another fullback in the meantime considering we did sign 2 for the development squad in this window.
The chances of a 3rd place left-back requiring to play before January would be minimal.
If he goes it would have to be £1mSome players have to move on to balance the books & the squad numbers.
Jordan is very frustrated that he's not a regular starter & at 25, he wants to play regularly.
I know he was wanting to move on under Judas, until he returned from his excellent spell at Oxford, when Judas took more of a liking to him & played him more often.
Jordan loves it at Pool & I really hope he stays, let's see what this week brings.
His season finishes in November, he won't be here until January, so probably a 6 week break. How long break did our players get at the end of last season before they reported back for pre-season?Just thinking what he'll be like when we get him having effectively played a full season without a break?
Is that due to the period when the PL & EFL break for the World Cup? The last w/e before they break is 13/14 Nov.His season finishes in November, he won't be here until January, so probably a 6 week break.
