Andy Holt Timeline

Tbf I'd be annoyed as well if I had someone go back on a deal and try and force me into giving them a new contract through fan pressure. Added to that a small section of Accy fans telling him he's toxic and they want him out of the club after everything he has done for it, why should he bother. I dont agree with making it public the way he has, but Holt has always been very transparent through social media so it's not off brand for him.

its getting really nasty. read the Andy Holt timeline about two hours ago.Looks like a parting of the coleman bell holt team. but at the end of the day Andy Holt has to look at his financial position and cannot afford the losses. i would be suprised coleman bell are in charge at XMAS.

Just been told by an Accy fan that Coleman is pound for pound the best manager in the EFL. He's basically untouchable to a section of their fans. With fans that delusional its no wonder Holt has enough.

Colman is a decent manager at this level, but saying he's the pound for pound best is mental. If he was the pound for pound best manager in the EFL he wouldn't be at Accrington Stanley, a bigger club with a much bigger budget would have signed him years ago. They got religated last season, any other manager and he's sacked.

He might have got relegated last season but he's done very well to get them to L1 and keep them there for so long on what must be by far the smallest budget in the league. Its bound to catch up with you sometime though. I bet Fylde would be interested if he became available.

I can see why AH is upset. He made the point that ordinarily when you take a team down you pay for it with your job. He didn't go that way because of their long history of working together ; and was willing to offer new contracts once the team were safe in L2 for this season.

He thought that was more than fair, and that they have then sought to use Radio Lancs as leverage to get a swifter contract award. The idiots slagging him off on Twitter (X) are just that - idiots. Every club has them.

I don't know what the club's long term future is if he walks away. They are arguably punching above their weight and have been for years.

Holt just said on radio lancs that Jimmy told him the squad they had assembled wasn't good enough to stay up in league 2 at the start of the season. Why the hell would an owner hear that and give him another contract? The more I hear about this, the more Jimmy ans John come across as entitled individuals.

Accy would not be in the league with Andy Holt. He used to be very open on Twitter, but I think he has been worn down. Not saying he' s perfect, you don't grow a busines without being hardened, but pressuring him for new contracts after a relegation and this early in the season, barking overplay by Coleman.

The irony is that if it was a player wanting a new contract, Coleman would be saying to him get your head down for the rest of the season and earn it.

I think he’s clearly passed caring about the fans views now. It’s like when you’ve made your mind up to leave your job- you no longer tolerate bullshit
Past not passed. The Grammar Police are on their way, please just surrender quietly!

Eek that’s a learn for me!

I always assumed it was passed the point of caring and just abbreviated? (Like passed the point of no return)

Nice one Bill.

It's all about tenses and learning bloody Latin. You go past the point of no return, I have passed the point of no return... I still have nightmares about this stuff.

I hope he wins this power struggle for the sake of his club, Colman always comes across as a wanker.

For balance Lytham, they both do. Holt spends a lot of his time on Twitter dishing it out to all and sundry as if he is untouchable.

This is an EPIC flounce.
