A replacement for Critchley

Brian Barry—Murphy. Currently Manchester City’s development coach to their under 23s. Hugely responsible job given that these players are mostly going to be sold on and City are looking to maximise their value. Just seen a piece where Oscar Bobb praised him highly for the help he had given him in getting to the first team.

Has managerial experience at Rochdale and Bury. His Rochdale team played good football in league 1 whilst at a massive disadvantage on budget.

So in summary, innovative coach, senior management experience, lives in the North West, might be tempted back into management for the right offer.

Over to you Simon.

Sooooooooo, Brian, would you like to stay at City coaching the u23's whilst I'm sure, earning a decent wedge.
Or, take the reigns at Blackpool FC for probably less money and more hassle.

Over to you Bri🤷

What’s the point. We’re stuck with Critchley and his sidekicks, Statler & Waldorf for the foreseeable future whether we like it or not.
It’ll be interesting to see how many fans are lost at the start of next season if the performances and tactics remain the same as what we’ve endured for the majority of this campaign.

Actually think he’d be a cracking hire.

No point thinking about a new manager when we already have one who will be here through at least halfway through next season.

I will say appointments like him are what the club need to be making; new men with a fresh, attacking direction.

Grayson, Critch, MA were all regressive hires that scream comfort, and we’ve never been a club whose progressed based on doing what’s comfortable.

If Sadler does have to make an appointment soon it should be the man who he feels least comfortable with!

I think Dobbie should be the next manager.
Evo and Charlie should be his 2nd in command.
Crains should be main defensive coach.
Gnashers should be main midfield coach.
DJ should be main strikers coach.
Ollie should be sat in the managers office as a type of Yoda character for when Dobbs needs help.
And we could keep Critchley to put out the cones at training.

There, success 🤞🥴🤪🤷

Does he guarantee promotion whilst playing free flowing attacking football?

If not, he's a no from me.
