A 'Charlie Adam type'

Charlie is a fairly unique individual, I can't remember many players like him playing for us.

How many player have we had that could be described as 'like Charlie?'

It doesn't matter if they were any good, just that their style was similar to Charlie's

I'll start with Richie Wellens.

Maybe Dewsbury Hall , certainly in a few years time. He can make those all important passes, and scores the goals from midfield that Charlie regularly did.
I see Charlie had two assists yesterday when they beat top of the table Hearts. He has played regularly, scored and assisted all season. He would in my opinion , despite his age have been the missing link in this years team.
As you say there are not many like him.

I've watched a bit of him - he's still fantastic but he does have their team set up to run for him. Even if it hadn't worked out, it would have been glorious to watch but I think he was going to Dundee come what may.

With Charlie it wasn't really just about his ability, but mental strength. A real leader. When we were struggling, he'd be the one to step up. With Wellens, he'd go missing when we were struggling.
I actually thought Jamie O'Hara had that kind of mental toughness too, and it was a shame he played for us at a time when we were going through so much turmoil because he was a very good player.

History repeated itself with Larry..... never go back, we should be looking forward. We need to forget CA (he was bloody good for us) but there will be someone out there to complete the team 👍

Barry Ferguson was like a Aldi version of Charlie.

Still a decent player who I liked up until the moment he started lobbing tennis balls back at the fans and calling us out in the press.

Surely the only correct answer here is 10 grand a week and million pound man Andy Reid considering he was brought in to "replace" Charlie.

Same deal for shay given that January instead of that waste of space and we'd have finished mid table, although we'd now have no club as rapey would have spent all the money on something else, still had enough to pay off that pesky latvian and we'd still be boycotting, well most of us anyway.

So maybe we should be thankful we signed Reid!
