60 Year old men with an ear-ring

Oh do fuck off!! Speaks the person who loves bland, grey, uninspiring managers with no personality, well, you must be very happy. Ollie was the best manager we have had in my over 50 years of me supporting the club. How Grayson, Appleton and Crithcley second time have been employed and Ollie ignored is unbelievable, but Sadler seems to hate a bit of sparkle too.

Expected some disagreement to my post - that’s the nature of social media, but admittedly a little surprised by the needless abuse & vitriol expressed in this response by a regular poster whom I previously held in higher regard.

Further debate is obviously pointless, as we’re obviously diametrically opposed on the subject in hand, but I respect your opinion, if not necessarily the terms in which you choose to couch same.

To be fair I don’t think he was praising KOKO. Just said he got on with him ok. And didn’t have much to do with his dad. I seem to recall one of the Top Brass once acknowledged that, whilst he was still a Cnut, KOKO was quite funny. So I don’t think Holloway was necessarily taking sides. Just saying how the experience was for him.

Mind you, he did look a bit of a ** with that thing around his neck. I know it was cold but what’s wrong with a normal scarf?

I have absolutely no idea why any man would wear a tie..... WTF are they all about, same as suits, awful, awful things, they should have been thrown out with the Ark. There is nothing comfortable about wearing a shirt and tie and a crumpled suit that gets cleaned once a year if it's lucky. I fought the conformity when I was in CID, I refused to wear a suit and tie and although I initially got grief, the powers that be just gave up in the end so I wore jeans and a shirt or a t shirt and fleece. I was comfortable, the general public were not intimidated by a suit and all was well in the world.
Do you wear that attire for weddings and funerals. Looking smart and respectable is not everyones choice.

He looked a bit of a ** to be honest . Although I'm wearing a vest w a flower print in my avatar and I'm 65. As my granddaughter said "Grandads don't wear flowers" 😂

Love the guy, a total legend in my eye and gave us all the best trip.

I've told this before but the night before Palace away (the old grannies game), he met with BASIL at the hotel. Did an hour with Matt W, towing the line etc. Did 2 hours in the bar, off the record, highly amusing and informative.
