It’s not the old Bloomfield Rd that could fall over with a bit of wind so I imagine it’ll be on
 
The authorities will be more worried about the conditions outside the ground rather than in it . As was the case with Man City on Sunday.

Howling gale and heavy rain. Some of the players were exhausted during the second half and had to come off.
I think they finished with Blackpool 9 players and Charlton 8.
I tried to find a report in the Gazette archives, but didn't mention the weather. 😒
 
It should be called off early as not fair on the travelling Gillingham fans. If it’s still on at 3pm I imagine it’ll go ahead

Their supporters coach set off at 11 they'll be on the motorway by now tough for them if it's called off.

Remember that game, the rain was intense and was falling horizontally and if memory serves me correctly Charlton were 8-1 down towards the end and came back with three late goals.
Their veteran keeper Sam Bartram was out injured and the reserve keeper, a very large South African fellow had the honours.
Matthews cut in towards the KOP and scored , Alan Brown with a hat-trick and the crowd even with the terrible weather was 30,000.
