Did i miss the announcement of the 25 man squad details or has it not been published yet? It will be interesting to see who is left out.
 
My understanding is that the list of up to 25 Over 21 players and including players loaned in irrespective of age had to be submitted to the EFL within 24 hours after the transfer window closed at 11pm on 31st Jan. It then usually takes the EFL about 10 days to load up the latest squad details for every EFL club on their website. Based on what McCarthy previously said about not registering injured players, I expect the number of Over 21 players to be initially registered will be 20 leaving space for 5 more players to be added as and when they return from injury.

Not disputing anything you are saying - I just find it astonishing that it takes the EFL 10 days to do this. Surely they have a database of the players registered to each club?

I assume the EFL would have to carry out detailed checks on each of the 72 Club’s individual submissions to ensure the players they were seeking to register were all bona fide including the loan players. The registered Squad information for all 72 Clubs is released on the EFL website at the same time.

Correct. The last list was published on 11 Sep. The Club wont share it beforehand because they will probably see it as giving the opposition an advantage.
Huddersfield won't find out that Bez is our secret weapon until 18.45 tomorrow when they swap team sheets.

Lubala and Gabriel are both playing for Dobbie’s Dev Squad at Burnley tomorrow afternoon.

The Club will want to delay the debate on AVFTT for as long as possible.
