Indeed fill your boots lads...
You know it makes sense...
This time next season we will be millionaires...
Beni Bangemin will see to that !
We're 10th in the betting with Swindon next to us. I think we're a lot better than that and worth a punt.Don’t think 25/1 is very generous to be honest. The squad is brand new, players barely know each other. Still very short in certain positions. Hardly any players in the team that are proven at this level. I think we’ll have a good season this year. Promotion is ambitious, I think winning it is really unrealistic given the squad size and signings. Though anything’s possible in life. I’ll optimistically say 6th, play offs.
Yeah fair enough I’d love to be proven wrong, go for it.We're 10th in the betting with Swindon next to us. I think we're a lot better than that and worth a punt.
Absolutely no chance of being Champions. Id hope for a tilt at the playoffs but we can't really expect much more surely. TTS brigade out in force. They have said the same most seasons.Don’t think 25/1 is very generous to be honest. The squad is brand new, players barely know each other. Still very short in certain positions. I know what you're saying, but looking at the other clubs who'd expect to challenge, most are offloading players or are in dire straits. Wigan and Charlton are higher in the betting than us, and there's no guarantee they'll even start the season. If pushed, who do you think will be the top 6 above us if you're expecting that to be the best we can do?Absolutely no chance of being Champions. I said I’m expecting a tilt at the playoffs. Charlton will be fine and right up there then you have the usual suspects in Peterborough, Pompey, Ipswich and Sunderland. Not sure about how well Hull will go but I’d expect them to be competing. Fleetwood lack goals but looked a cut above near the back end of the season. If we are competing in and around these teams by the latter end of the season then we’ll be near the playoffs. I think we are still short of the right quality to get promoted but let’s wait and see.I know what you're saying, but looking at the other clubs who'd expect to challenge, most are offloading players or are in dire straits. All in the interests of debate obv
I agree. You can’t expect promotion this season, it’s a bonus if it happens, but maybe in the next 2/3 seasons definitely.I think it reflects the fact that we're a bit of an unknown quantity this season. A lot of young player who have talent but are untested at league 1 level, along with a manager who is in his very first job as head coach.
Being mid table in the betting odds is difficult to argue with really. I think we sometimes also need to keep our feet on the ground and get our expectations under control. We're making progress, but it's slow, steady and being built on solid foundations. It'll take time to build a squad capable of getting out of this division, probably 2 or 3 years at least. In the BST questionnaire in answer to where I see BFC in 12 mths time I said league 1. That's not being pessimistic, just realistic, and it isn't to say we won't have made significant progress in that time. In fact I'm sure we will.

Then consolidating in the Championship will be the next big challenge.
We needInto 18/1 with Paddy Power for the Title, and 6/1 for Promotion, from 25/1 and 9/1 when the odds came out this week. Might not take too much money for the price to shift in whats probably a fairly small market so far, but it would take more than the odd fiver or tenner. Someone's backing us
