Fill your boots lads Blackpool are 25/1 to win league 1 with Bet Chandler. Sunderland are their 7/1 favs with Pompey and Posh next in the betting.

Indeed fill your boots lads...
You know it makes sense...
This time next season we will be millionaires...
Beni Bangemin will see to that !

25/1 seems about right, as things stand. Maybe slightly on the generous side.

Don’t think 25/1 is very generous to be honest. The squad is brand new, players barely know each other. Still very short in certain positions. Hardly any players in the team that are proven at this level. I think we’ll have a good season this year. Promotion is ambitious, I think winning it is really unrealistic given the squad size and signings. Though anything’s possible in life. I’ll optimistically say 6th, play offs.

We're 10th in the betting with Swindon next to us. I think we're a lot better than that and worth a punt.

Absolutely no chance of being Champions. Id hope for a tilt at the playoffs but we can't really expect much more surely. TTS brigade out in force. They have said the same most seasons.

Lots unproven at this level.....
Barrow gave as good as they got.....
Our keeper was the busier of the 2....
Let’s not get carried away boys....
6 more additions needed....
3 being.....Baningme Gotts Okopoku....
We still need a midfield play maker

I will wait till we sign a quality left side CB, 2 quality wing backs, a midfield mystro and our top scorer. Loan out a few young players to make room - Howe , McDonald, Garrity , Devitt.

I know what you're saying, but looking at the other clubs who'd expect to challenge, most are offloading players or are in dire straits. Wigan and Charlton are higher in the betting than us, and there's no guarantee they'll even start the season. If pushed, who do you think will be the top 6 above us if you're expecting that to be the best we can do?

All in the interests of debate obv 😆

I said I’m expecting a tilt at the playoffs. Charlton will be fine and right up there then you have the usual suspects in Peterborough, Pompey, Ipswich and Sunderland. Not sure about how well Hull will go but I’d expect them to be competing. Fleetwood lack goals but looked a cut above near the back end of the season. If we are competing in and around these teams by the latter end of the season then we’ll be near the playoffs. I think we are still short of the right quality to get promoted but let’s wait and see.
The current squad with no further additions would make the top 10 but I hope 2 or 3 more quality and experienced players will enter the fray.

I think it reflects the fact that we're a bit of an unknown quantity this season. A lot of young player who have talent but are untested at league 1 level, along with a manager who is in his very first job as head coach.
Being mid table in the betting odds is difficult to argue with really. I think we sometimes also need to keep our feet on the ground and get our expectations under control. We're making progress, but it's slow, steady and being built on solid foundations. It'll take time to build a squad capable of getting out of this division, probably 2 or 3 years at least. In the BST questionnaire in answer to where I see BFC in 12 mths time I said league 1. That's not being pessimistic, just realistic, and it isn't to say we won't have made significant progress in that time. In fact I'm sure we will.

I got 33/1 ew with bet victor and also couldn't resist 9/1 to just go up.

This season with everything going on could be anyone's.. at least its nice to see us well prepared for once and not all last minute

I agree. You can’t expect promotion this season, it’s a bonus if it happens, but maybe in the next 2/3 seasons definitely.
Then consolidating in the Championship will be the next big challenge.

I agree with all of that.

One thing I would question is your belief that Ipswich and Sunderland will feature - they need to improve quite a bit if they are to do so. I think Hull, Charlton and Wigan are impossible to predict but have my doubts about all of them.

If I was looking for dangers they would be Oxford, Posh, Pompey, Donny, possibly Fleetwood, possibly Burton and a dark horse who have signed a few would be Bristol Rovers.

Into 18/1 with Paddy Power for the Title, and 6/1 for Promotion, from 25/1 and 9/1 when the odds came out this week. Might not take too much money for the price to shift in whats probably a fairly small market so far, but it would take more than the odd fiver or tenner. Someone's backing us 👍

I CB
Some one who can bag 20 goals.......

That's what happens when I lump on 🤣🤣

I went on the safe side and went for promotion.
If ‘top 6 finish’ becomes available, I’ll definitely have some of that.
