20 mil Maguire bid rejected?

Apparently well below their valuation. How much do they expect for him? Thought that was pretty generous for an opening bid.

I quite like slabhead. He has his limitations though. I wouldn’t be over surprised if they get a little bit more yet, but I think it would probably be good for the guy if he gets a decent move abroad somewhere.

I think he's worth more than that. Even when not playing regularly proved he could cope at the highest level with England and he's got a good attitude. He's another Jordan Henderson who's unfairly maligned by people who don't know an awful lot.

That's a fair comment , players like pogba is why man United spent years blaming managers and the glazers

He's a decent defender, probably not quite at the level Man Utd should be at but he's still a very good Premier League centre half. West Spam were rumoured to be interested in him and I think that's a level he would probably excel at, he'd be a big fish and under less pressure.

Just said on Sky news United are looking for £40m. 🤣
Rarely let's England down and is still fairly young. I'd say £35-40M is about right in the current market. Manure fans have used him as a scapegoat when in truth they have several players far worse than Harry. I'm surprised Spurs haven't gone in for him, he's the sort of no nonsense player they could do with.

To be fair in their valuation of him they said they weren’t looking to offload him as he was still in Ten Hag’s plans for this coming season.
Completely agree about his England performances.

No hes not.

I appreciate you are a Henderson fan, but a lot aren't, and that doesn't make them in a category 'don't know an awful lot', because you don't agree with my or their views..

Maguire like Henderson has his limitations, one main one being his lack of speed and mobility. Hendersons was that he wasn't very skilful or imaginative.
Both are hard working players that contribute to a team ethic and are valued by their Managers - that doesn't make them great players, and neither are.

FFS he's an England first choice centre half. £20m is what you pay for half decent Championship players.
He’s only a first choice due to the lack of decent English CH’s
He’s ok when he’s defending deep and the game is in front of him. Not so good when he has to turn and has quick attackers against him running the channels. Sometimes looks like he’s running through treacle he's that slow. Prone to mistakes as well
But I’d agree that he’s worth more than 20m in todays inflated market. He’s a trier if nothing else
