We had navy blue collars a few times, I don't recall us with black though.Didn’t we have a kit with a black collar in more recent history or am I imagining it? My memory is seeing Gary Briggs in one….am I going mad?
In the 50s Blackpool wore half & half tangerine and black socks. We had navy blue collars a few times, I don't recall us with black though.
Indeed, thankfully I wasn't born for another 20+ years! In the 50s Blackpool wore half & half tangerine and black socks.
That’ll be the one.We had navy blue collars a few times, I don't recall us with black though.
The club have only been celebrating ‘100 years in tangerine’ all season like!I thought we didn't play in Tangerine till around 1930? Black before then?
In thw summer of 2015 I wrote to Karl Oyston suggesting the 'Belgium' shirt as our 3rd kit with it being 100 years since our team wore it in recognition of the Belgian refugees from German oppression. His secretary wrote back to say that there'd been a raffle for the 3rd shirt so there was nothing they could do.I actually think this year's home kit should have been a modern interpretation of this to tie in with the 100 years. An opportunity missed in that regard.
I had a similar thought about it being tied in wth the centenary anniversary of the start or end of WWI.In thw summer of 2015 I wrote to Karl Oyston suggesting the 'Belgium' shirt as our 3rd kit with it being 100 years since our team wore it in recognition of the Belgian refugees from German oppression. I'm sure, if you were to track him down, you could 'collar' him and maybe ask him personally, face-to-face ...Didn’t we have a kit with a black collar in more recent history or am I imagining it? My memory is seeing Gary Briggs in one….am I going mad?
We played in a black away kit under McMahon.Didn’t we have a kit with a black collar in more recent history or am I imagining it? My memory is seeing Gary Briggs in one….am I going mad?
