11/12 memories

The "forgotten season" out of our recent "Holy Trilogy" (09/10, 10/11, 11/12) mainly because of the bad note it ended on at Wembley.. regardless we still had some great moments that season, even being the first game played in the EFL vs Hull away. We had our first trip to Brighton's new ground (and grabbed a draw thanks to a brace from Super Kev), beat Leeds 5-0 at their place (and 1-0 up here, Angel with the winner), played and thrashed non-league Fleetwood for the first time in the FA Cup, beat Burnley 4-0 to qualify for the play offs. Even the play off semis vs Birmingham are good to go back and watch. What are some good memories you have of the 11/12 season?

Strangely I have memories of that Hull game as we were abroad and I thought we’d start the season on a real downer and was pleasantly surprised. Who came in that season after the Prem season?

Hull away first game of the season, GTF scoring that volley late in. Bristol City away was great, came back from 1 down to win 2 - 1 after a hefty trip down there.

We were arguably a better team that year than the year we actually went up. We just unfortunately came up against West Ham in the play off final

Still to this day I think the 11/12 squad was our best overall team in recent memory, definitely gave the prem team a run for its money.

Just watched the Play offs v Birmingham. Wish I hadn't 😲

Stephen Dobbie , beside the penalty spot, mis-kicking at 1-1. They would NOT have come back from that.
