Didn't get in the play offsWtf was he sacked for?
Disgraceful if that’s the reason.Didn't get in the play offs
Totally agree. Was watching the Hull vs Ipswich game the other day and thought how I wish we'd got him as manager. Cannot believe they have done that.Just been sacked by Hull

…and nominated for championship manager of the year. I wonder if it’s partly him not liking the budget for next year.I know people will make the comparison of us just missing out on top 6 and calling for Critchley to go, but it really isn’t the same.
LR has turned Hull into a really entertaining, footballing unit.
Well maybe just maybe we need to increase our budget so we can compete at the top end of this league as the current strategy certainly isn't working that wellRosenior turned us down because of our budget. We would have no hope of getting him now because our budget is smaller and he’s just proven himself to be a very good championship manager,
The expectation on here can sometimes be very unrealistic!
Yes, let’s just chuck loads of money at it and hope we have some success. That has never caused any financial issues at any other clubs….Well maybe just maybe we need to increase our budget so we can compete at the top end of this league as the current strategy certainly isn't working that well
If they do I'll volunteer to help carry him there in the Sedan Chair that NC and his sidekicks ferried Connelly everywhere in now it's not required.Let’s hope they come in for critchley
I thought Rosenior had turned us down. There was speculation he’d used us to get a better deal from Derby.LR will go on to bigger and better things than Hull City. I was gutted when he seemed nailed on for us and it didn't happen. Major turning point for us as a club and probably the first really poor decision from SS. He's made some more since but that started it all off.
Championship is very competitive this season but league one this season was garbage.I know people will make the comparison of us just missing out on top 6 and calling for Critchley to go, but it really isn’t the same.

Ahh the old default of chuck money at it mythYes, let’s just chuck loads of money at it and hope we have some success. That has never caused any financial issues at any other clubs….
League one will be tougher next seasonChampionship is very competitive this season but league one this season was garbage.
Yeah that's bolloksI was told by a very good source he lied about his wages and got found out..otherwise he was on the verge of being the manager
I totally agree. I think Charlton will be competitive as will Wigan and Reading. Mansfield will be hard to beat and Rotherham look like they are going to come out swinging. I strongly agree with your final para. Play offs should have been a shoe in for us this season.League one will be tougher next season
For a start there aren't two clubs with a points deductions then there is the new money into Wrexham, Wycombe and Birmingham
Make no mistake unless we have a go we will be left behind
Not really. Our relegation from the prem was a direct result of not spending anything and the owners taking as much money out of the club as possible. Relegation was ultimately a blessing in disguise as it eventually started the process for the removal of the oystons.Ahh the old default of chuck money at it myth
You were probably saying the same thing when Oyston didn't spend in the Premier League
I think we withdrew the offer because he lied about his earnings. A proper moral Club we are. Now where's Private Eye's telephone number......I thought Rosenior had turned us down. There was speculation he’d used us to get a better deal from Derby.
Having spent a fortune...I know people will make the comparison of us just missing out on top 6 and calling for Critchley to go, but it really isn’t the same.

What actually happened who knows but it was going to happen and didn't. Massive mistake not to get it over the line , for me as sure a thing as you could get at the time of being a successful appointment. How they can listen to Rosenior and eventually give it to Appleton is ridiculous. A mistake we are still paying for now and I very rarely criticise Simon Sadler.I thought Rosenior had turned us down. There was speculation he’d used us to get a better deal from Derby.
Appleton suddenly appeared out of nowhere possibly giving rise to the assumption Rosenior had turned us down and the Appleton appointment was to save face. Suppose we’ll never know the truth, but I think he was the only name mentioned then or since that really got fans excited and united. What actually happened who knows but it was going to happen and didn't. Hadn’t heard that.I think we withdrew the offer because he lied about his earnings. A proper moral Club we are. Now where's Private Eye's telephone number......
Yeah, it was the rumour going around. True?Hadn’t heard that.
For a successful side it’s what you have to do. Either that or have amazing team spirit and belief (a la Holloway). We had neither this season. Few, if any, appeared to believe in the way we were being asked to play and sadly that looks set to carry on if we keep this guy.Having spent a fortune...
So meet in the middle or keep wasting five million a year treading water? That real enough for you?Rosenior turned us down because of our budget. We would have no hope of getting him now because our budget is smaller and he’s just proven himself to be a very good championship manager,

Steady on Phil or you’ll have the happy clappers on your back telling you how many zillions SS has put into the club. As if he came into it thinking he was going to make money. Although I think he’s now finding it a bit rich for his blood.Well maybe just maybe we need to increase our budget so we can compete at the top end of this league as the current strategy certainly isn't working that well
How much do you think we should spend? What happens if, after spending many more millions, we are still in league one. What’s the solution at that point? I’m all for investment and improving the squad, etc but it has to be realistic. Let’s not also forget the spending on the infrastructure which isn’t exactly cheap. So meeting the middle keep wasting five million a year treading water? That real enough for you?
Sadly.I’d take him in a shot, and I would have done last time. Still appears to be that we don’t have a vacancy though
What will the budget will be at the present time, even Critchley might not be getting as much as he originally thought, who knows?Well maybe just maybe we need to increase our budget so we can compete at the top end of this league as the current strategy certainly isn't working that well
I wouldn’t spend with this manager because he’s proven himself to be a coach not a manager. How much do you think we should spend? I will tell what wasn't realistic and that was trying to complete the Championship on the cheap with no fit for purpose defensive midfield playersHow much do you think we should spend? So what would your “budget” be? If we had beat Reading we would have finished in the top 6 so there is an argument that the current budget is sufficient.I wouldn’t spend with this manager because he’s proven himself to be a coach not a manager.
I’d spend a budget that would put us in the top six for the division. Infrastructure has no priority until we are in the championship. What we know is that as is we’re going nowhere next season.
