Be an interesting one this tonight because if effect would have been our semi final game.
Will be interesting to see if the Barnsley gamble sacking their manager will pay off?
 
Gutting really. Imagine us playing Bolton tonight at home in the play offs. Atmosphere would be incredible.

Anyway, come on Barnsley. Although part of me thinks Bolton will do it this year - and might help the league next year as they will be clear favourites.

Didn't someone write on here last week that the League One Play offs had been announced as being on Saturday?
 
Don't want Barnsley to win because I have some friends from there who always take great delight at getting one over on us. Don't obviously want the murderers to win and Peterborough throwing away games against our play off rivals as well as pipping us to the Wembley final means I don't want them to win. So that leaves Oxford to win the whole thing.
 
Of the four sides I've seen this season, Posh have been best, but when it comes to the playoffs, it's often the club with momentum, as we know, that prevails.
Personally, however, couldn't give a toss who goes up.
We'll be playing three of them next season, whatever happens

Barnsley didn't even limp into the play-offs, they collapsed at the finish line and were lucky no-one passed them in their comatose state. That is just amplified by how they're getting rolled over by Bolton at home right now.

We'd have gone into it 5 wins on the bounce. Big derby game under the lights at Bloomfield Road. We'd have given Bolton more of a game given that context I reckon, and it'd have been a rocking atmosphere and spectacle.

Ah well..

Irrelevant where/when or how they got in, facts are over a 46 game season they finished in them, more than we did.

They were challenging the autos until late on and their form collapsed

It's relevant to the fact they're not really giving Bolton a game because they have gone into the play-offs in awful form. I never said we deserved to get in but in the hypothetical scenario where we would have, it would have been a better game/spectacle most likely - just makes it even more of a shame we didn't do it as you knew Barnsley weren't winning the play-offs given their form.
