More positives than most on here would have you believe so for me ;
1. The home form in the league was sensational, 14 wins 6 draws and just 3 loses is no mean feat at any level
2. Being competitive and playing for possible promotion right the way through and were never out of it until the full time whistle on the final day.
3. Near enough doubling last seasons tally for league wins
4. Some class players this year like dembele, Rhodes, coulson and Byers. Ik they’re all on loan but hopefully we’ll get one or two at least on permanent deals.
5. Great numbers of support especially at home.
6. 18 clean sheets in the league, can’t be many times where we’ve managed that many.
7. Official plans for training ground and east stand near enough underway at last
8. Winning quite a few that pleasantly surprised us, such as posh and Pompey away, hammering Bolton at home, taking a prem side to two 2-2 draws over 90 minute periods.
9. Adding some stability to the board of directors and not in a position of needing a clear out of the higherarchy like we did at end of last season.
10. Another season of stability overall under Simon Sadler who delivered competitive, top end of league one football where we were one win away from a play off spot whilst also getting the ball rolling with projects off the field as well. Also no chance of financial hardship or off field turmoil like reading and Wigan have both recently suffered which totally hampered their chances of competing resulting in genuine and I mean genuine mid table mediocrity where they were never even in the play off conversation. At least we were!!!
So there you have it, the perfect 10
