Bolton at home - League

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you one of the many nearby exiles who doesn't attend many games because you've got the excuse "I live x miles away."

Apologies in advance if not, but there are a lot of them and a lot who don't go at all slagging others off.
@Curryman lives in Shipley and has a season ticket.

We might actually have filled the 3 sides and spilled into the east, if available, for this one.

Depends if there's something to play for at the time.

A few wins to get is right into the mix and who knows.

To boost the atmosphere (which won’t really be required against Bolton) surely they could get 500 home fans in the north end of the east. That would allow them to put netting over the seats between those home supporters and the 2k plus Bolton fans. No they rocket science.

I don’t know any other club that insists on having a whole half stand and a press box separating fans. Utter madness they dont get given more. The fact we can’t fill the ground is another story. But keep it empty anyway? I have never heard a rationale reason. Literally every other team has 3 rows of seats with netting.

Bonkers.

Is that not police orders?

I’d let them have 4,000.
If we can’t sell 12,000 then that’s our problem.

We have too many sandgrowners supporting Liverpool, Man UTD and even Leeds for fucks sake
We didn't get than many vs nobbers in the championship, although 1 was 'sold out' but with huge segregation.

Tbf it was higher price and 1 in the covid aftermath and 1 under the very unpopular Appleton.

I think we could definitely sell the 3 sides and spill into the east. But it would definitely help if we had some wins and were in the promotion mix.

What we have managed to do though is keep similar ish numbers to the league above, so this is our new base at this level, so if we do have a promotion season this or soon, with fans in attendance at playoff /Wembley or auto promotion winning games, it'll be massive for growing the fanbase. This I mentioned as one of the benefits of going down if we do get to go up again soon.

Championship success is far harder to come by and casuals are attracted to success and days like playoff games. It's vital they can attend and it was damaging last time. They are more likely to attend again after witnessing a playoff success and they also get registered on the system not only for previous purchase history but for marketing.

Underselling away tickets makes away fans more likely in the home end, even with purchase history, there’s always ones that’ll find a way

Won’t happen neither will training ground. The same things will get out in the gazette every year about training ground and east stand.
Doubt we will ever see it happen. If one were to happen it would be the east as we would have help getting that funded.
Training ground id say is dead in the water.
I almost totally agree but I do think we will get a new East stand because of the outside funding but plenty mocked me when I said the training ground would never happen and is a red herring

MY number has been on the system for years. I am one of the casual supporters you mention. I am not attracted to success as such. More can my son come for a game which is more likely to be midweek. And living on a ex works pension for fourteen years of course price comes into it.. ACTUALLY i have ticket stubs and season ticket books going back at least twenty years. CANT afford to comit to a s.ticket. And my wife suffers anxiety issues so i cannot just go to every game. Soi I may or may not be at the Bolton league game. . nothing wrong with choosing games. i am as committed to

With all due respect you may be a slightly casual fan now, but you are on an enthusiasts website and you were clearly a big fan in the past.

There are plenty of casuals who aren't on here and pay little attention to regular things.

Casuals absolutely are attracted to success and the big games, that much is obviously true.
