Best Frontman Ever?

Being biased I'd pick the two from my favourite two bands.
John Lydon and Roger Daltrey.
Both great front men.
But hand on heart I'd have to say Freddie Mercury.

James Brown
Mick Jagger
David Johansen
Jim Morrison
John Lydon
Bob Marley.

Elvis Costello, simply because he’s one of our best lyricists. “You drink yourself insensitive, and hate yourself in the morning.” ‘Man out of time.’Think most us have been there, I know I have.

As a performer, Freddie M is way out in front.
As a singer, it’s Paul Rogers.

There’s loads of good ones though. We’re all old enough to have seen plenty of groups/lead singers and lean towards our personal choice(s) and taste.

What about the lasses? Grace Slick has stood the test of time.

Not necessarily the ‘Best Frontman Ever’, as I’d have to agree that Freddie Mercury has it by a country mile, but an honourable mention for Rod Stewart, who always put on a cracking show when leading the glorious musical shambles that was The Faces.

I've never taken to Rod as a solo performer that much. The Faces, however, were great.

Sorry, don’t get it?….I am thick though so don’t worry 😁
In 1955 Vincent had a motorbike accident and should have lost his leg. He refused amputation but from then on wore a metal sheaf around his leg. The anecdote is based on the impresario wanting a 'sympathy for the cripple' story.

Ian Curtis . . . the only reason why I wish I was a couple of years older :)

Out of those I've seen live Ian McCulloch, Bono & Morrisey (before they disappeared up their own arses) and more recently Grian from Fontaines DC.

Tim Booth 👍
Of Booths Supermarket fame?……

”Our overpriced Groceries and are on fire with passionate love,
the middle class pensioners lap it all up,
But they only come cos they’re all Cunts”

Both poetic and a bit saucy tongue in cheek stylie by young Timothy
