Looks like we're having a major clear out.
Garrity actually now looks like he’d get in our squad tbh.Good move again. No need to be critical here, He’s a decent player but unlikely to force his way in to this team
With Garrity, Carey, Tharme we are clearly making space in the squad to take a punt on a non league player as part of our strategy. Carey has worked to a point, other 2 have found FL clubs and done well in their own right.
Won’t have cost us a lot to try and worth doing as you never know when the next Vardy will come along.
Think we are short of specialist cb'sThis seems best for everyone involved. He didn't look great on this week, I thought Bez got the better of him multiple times. Good luck to him and I hope he gets the game time he needs. A day of outs so far, wonder if we will bring anyone in.
We have been linked with a couple, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the position the next one through the door plays. I'm hoping that we haven't left ourselves short with no replacement anywhere close.Think we are short of specialist cb's
Options everywhere else
Hopefully a left sided one.We have been linked with a couple, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the position the next one through the door plays. I'm hoping that we haven't left ourselves short with no replacement anywhere close.
I would imagine it may just under £1000 a week; may be £750 to £850. Friend of mine pro in Scottish Championship and gets quite a bit less than thatGood luck to him. Should be a good move at this stage.
I wonder what kind of wage he would be on at Grimsby?
I don't think its as simple as that. Little point in continuing developing for the sake of it if they don't feel it'll work out as well as it might with someone else.Keep polishing those gems Neil
Which gambles have worked exactly?I don't think its as simple as that. Little point in continuing developing for the sake of it if they don't feel it'll work out as well as it might with someone else.
The club only has finite resources and we can only have so many players.
Some gamble signing don't and some do.
We'll go again and this time we've got, hopefully, a better recruitment team than ever before and look to replace any with better players to develop.
There were people who came on here saying Rhodes was past it.Which gambles have worked exactly?
Carey has made the step up, can be brilliant. That the thing about those non league gambles, they don't break the bank and are a bit of a gamble, sometimes it works out.Which gambles have worked exactly?
Bowler and Lavery, LyonsWhich gambles have worked exactly?
I'm sorry using the words Carey and brilliant in the same sentence is just insane.Carey has made the step up, can be brilliant. That the thing about those non league gambles, they don't break the bank and are a bit of a gamble, sometimes it works out.
Bowler was a good player when he arrived, I don't agree Lavery has improved under Critchley, Lyons looks devoid of confidence, Morgan looks good when the great developer deems to give him some game timeBowler and Lavery, Lyons
Morgan looks promising
He was brilliant against Fleetwood as an example, he's had some quality moments for us. Some poor too but who hasnt, he's shown progression and is one of the better gambles.I'm sorry using the words Carey and brilliant in the same sentence is just insane.
To be fair, every signing is a gambleWhich gambles have worked exactly?
Garrity scored in our 3-0 defeat at Port Vale recently.Good move again. No need to be critical here, He’s a decent player but unlikely to force his way in to this team
