Where’s our Prime Minister gone?

Having done a smash and grab raid on the British economy she’s absconded. Probably now sunning herself on the Costa del sol.

Truss must be stopped before she completely crashes the economy. Why isn't parliament being recalled? This is the biggest economic crisis for 50 years - all self inflicted and some of the damage could be undone immediately by a policy u-turn. Put the country first.
You panic easily don't you Robbie?😂😜

I’am sure Ollygon will be along shortly and inform us all where she is. 😴 💤
Glad to Help.

There's an understanding among the political parties that they won't do interviews, make statements etc during each others conferences.

As you might remember, I joined the Conservative Party to vote for our Liz.

She's playing an absolute blinder. So much better than I could have hoped in my wildest dreams

This is a disaster. IMF warning today. I am abroad and I have been watching my pound just been worth less and less. Truss cannot hide, her and her party are going to cost us dearly and the impacts will take years to resolve.

She was performing U turns effortlessly and speedily just a couple of weeks ago on the campaign trail.
She could probably put a halt to this quite quickly with one or two now.
It could hardly damage her political reputation much more, and it would most likely save us all a lot of money one way or another.

All those light rail projects in Bristol, Leeds and Liverpool cancelled by Alistair Darling. I don't think Labour did much levelling up under Brown and btw I was a Labour voter at the time.

There clearly was some money cause the Tories have borrowed nearly a trillion pounds since then.

Liz Truss is facing a growing Tory rebellion over the economy, which one MP described as "extinction-level stuff". Conservative MP Simon Hoare described it as "inept madness". He said: "These are not circumstances beyond the control of Govt/Treasury. They were authored there. This inept madness cannot go on."

Another Tory MP told the Guardian: "It’s extinction level stuff. This is like 2008 but worse. We’re messing with the very fundamental principle of providing a home for your family. That’s why it’s different: it’s real stuff".

Another Tory MP told Sky: "It is actually incredible that the UK’s Central Bank has had to step in to protect the UK from the actions of the UK's own government!”

... all quotes from the Daily Express, which is hardly a leftie newspaper, it’s usually a RWNJ propaganda sheet.

It’s worse than that. Money has been created in the form of govt IOU’s which can only mean future generations have the debt hanging around their necks. And debt is getting more costly. Interest alone is bigger than the cost of most govt departments’ annual spending. 🤪

Back to the future, dash for growth, IMF commenting, inflation on the rise, interest rates on the rise, out of Europe, BFC in div 2, industrial unrest (rail workers rather than miners)we are in the early 1970's Just need power cuts to top it all off
