Walking Football - The Return (part 2)

Good day folks.

Having just heard from the Community Trust, it is looking like a return to Walking Football on Monday 29th March at PlayFootball, Garstang Road. Blackpool. FY3 7JH

We will probably still have to keep numbers to 24 players maximum for each session, at £4 a time (booking on the original Community Trust link page for safety reasons). I don't think the bar area will be open for the time being and the usual checks will be made at the gates. Unless that is Boris has a change of plans in the next fortnight.

A number of new players are already interested in joining as we begin to rebuild not only the training sessions but the Blackpool FC Senior Seasiders as a club. We are looking at putting on a Fylde Coast Local League over the summer at 50s, 60s, 65s and 70s age groups involving Fleetwood, Blackpool, Chorley, Fylde, Preston, Blackburn and Garstang. These will hopefully be friendly games played home and away (just game one at a time, 20/25 mins each way, to meet Covid number restrictions) over the summer months. The Greater Manchester League for 60s, 65s and 70s are looking to restart in September. No news on National Competitions at the moment, but the early rounds are played locally anyway. We are staying local due to the restrictions on car sharing in place.

Make sure you have you Jab when offered to help with covid control, some of us will have had a second by the time we start the games.

Watch this space and I will share the booking log in page as soon as it becomes live.

50s+ Monday and Thursday 4.30pm-5.30pm
35-60s Monday 6pm - 7pm

Great news, however I will need to dig out the astro turf trainers.
I last saw them under a massive pile of toilet rolls ....😊
