Tiny bit confused about Saturdays game

The vast majority on here have us down as top 6 and even a few predicting automatic promotion. How is it then that on Twitter and on here a good number are predicting a loss or happy to take a point tomorrow?

If we have any ambition this season to get promoted then Gillingham will have been earmarked as 3 points home and away surely.

Just to add I don't think we will go up this season, we're in with a much better chance next season once all the new players and the new philosophy has bedded in . I still expect 3 points from Gillingham.

I think it is the sort of game you would want to win a good few of, if you want to do anything. They're never an easy team to beat at home though.

I do believe they are hard hit by injuries though. I'm very hopeful that we can win it.

92 pts if you win your home games and take a point away.

Steve Evans is a dinosaur. Its up and at 'em and no more. If we defend well we win.

Only had 5 on the subs bench at Stoke. Stoke had above 70% possession too. I expect a tough game but 3 points nonetheless

Think the first 10 to 15 minutes will be key. We know that this 'Pool team has the capability to run teams ragged, even though they haven't quite found their shooting boots yet. If the team comes out of the blocks the way they did against Liverpool and Everton, and the strikers get a bit more luck in front of goal then I'm very confident of three points.

Id like to see Yates and Bez get on the scoresheet, to settle them down.

Can't see Bez starting tomorrow. I'd expect Kaikai back in if fit. Also Anderson was carrying a knock , is he fit? If not who comes in? Williams ?

Having worked with Yates and Hamilton in the past I suspect Steve Evans will try and make sure those two are tightly marked.
I'm not sure what sort of a threat they have up front.
Evans would probably take a draw but if we play as well as the first two games we should be ok.

They’ve got pace and power up top with Oliver, Samuel and Akinde - 3 players who are very handy at this level and more than capable of pouncing in any mistakes. They also have a couple of loanees from Arsenal and Dempsey who all have undoubted quality.
Fortunately Dempsey is out injured as is their First Choice GK and a couple of their Defenders.
They’re thin on numbers but when fully fit they do have a solid squad all of which are decent for this level.
It’s a good time to play them as they’re a newly assembled team too, obviously are missing a few key players and hopefully Evans won’t have them quite as well drilled as he would like yet.
I do expect 3 points as we have more than enough quality to break them down and punish them but the 3 points will only be earned if we cut out mistakes and don’t give them any gifts.

Do we see Gills being in the final shake up? If not then go for 3 points from the off, the alternative is only a point missed out on if we lose.

Critchley shouldn’t get a free pass when Grayson got pelters. We need to win games like Gillingham if we’re aiming for promotion.

An excellent point as the whole reason why a club changes its manager is to bring in a new philosophy, ideas and to improve results.

BISONS btw leading the way with assertive and pertinent points once again.
